We have at least two fledgling blue jays in the yard who are very very hungry and upset that their parents aren't trying to feed them as much and instead trying to teach them to forage on their own haha. Interestingly despite the fact that the baby blue jays don't know how to eat on their own much yet, they do know how to drink and bathe in the fresh water that I've been putting out for the animals during our current heatwave! (The parents have also been enjoying some bird seed I've been putting out as well!)
