Real question is how do birds know they MUST stay in the nest and can't take a stroll outside even when blind? Little buddy looks like he was holding onto the nest for his dear life
Thank you for saving that dove. They are sweet birds and the chick that pushed its sibling out was trying to get closer for warmth. It was an accident.

Yes this was an accident. The other bird kept trying to get closer to his sibling and knocked him out. Baby birds snuggle close together to keep warm. These are doves and they do not engage in siblicide.
