So weird how everyone has complete opposite reviews. Some say disconnected others says connected and a big upgrade from the VS. some have even go to say on online reviews it's the best racket they ever used. So either someone is lying or either it's the strings setup or that stiff feeling people may hate

HOLY CATS! I just LOVE this racket. If you play and like the latest Pure Drive 100 you may like this even more! It is everything I was hoping for!... I've been playing the P.D 100 for quite a while, I love the easy power, big sweet spot, good spin and the big soft feel to each shot :- It is however a bit wild/uncontrolled at times and a touch unwieldy, so long term, unless you make yourself, you don't find yourself doing so many little touch shots etc. I was using Luxilon ALU Power at 52lbs but changed to Solinco Hyper G at 54lbs. I would recommend this set up on the 100, if you want a bit more control and crispness. However it still wasn't enough for me, so I ordered the 98, hoping for more control and maneuverability, and I was really hoping the launch angle and the power would be similar!!! It has exceeded all my expectations!! I just got it and have played a few times, with Luxilon ALU Power at 52lbs. Wow! It is a bit stiffer but it's not over muted or anything, I still like the feel, in fact maybe prefer it. It's maneuverable and really stable. You get nice touch with it and good spin AND AND AND, with ALU power at 52lbs I'd say it's at least as powerful if not more so than the 100 with Hyper G at 54lbs! Amazing! I'm in love! I'm just going to go and stroke it a little (the racket!!) while I watch Murray play Tsitsipas on centre court Wimbledon! Cammm onnnnnnn Andyyyyy! :)

You should disclose string and tension? My guess: yours was 16 or 17 g stiff poly over 55

I just got the pure strike 100 and the volleys definitely fall short as do the ground strokes I'm hoping a little lead tape will get it close to my RF 97.

I remember testing a Pure Strike with the Blade 18/20. Man, that feel must be what you described as hollow, the racquet was jarring like a sabre when hitting concrete, even with a dampener on. So all my Babolat racquet knowledge refers to exactly 3 shots, and I am surely not eager to try again.

i highly disagree with the strike being"hollow" feeling. I think the blade was way to cushioned and dampened with absolutely no feel. The 3rd gen strike is very connected to the ball in my opinion. loads of spin with even more power with still retaining control. couldve been the strings you were using

For my part, I tried the pure drive tour 315, extremely stable, good directional control, surprisingly comfortable for a stiff racquet and more weight in the ball than the 300. I would like to see you test it, but it's probably more suited to the two-handed backhand. Thanks for your review.

I have a 2018 Pure Drive Tour (315g and 100 sq) and I LOVE IT. It's got decent control and tons of power. It's incredibly uncomfortable and stiff but a great racket if you don't have arm issues.

Weird, I stumbled upon this review while trying to weigh the pros and cons of the 98 vs 100. But I felt the exact opposite of what you've described (also had to check the date of the video b/c I thought it was an April Fool's joke). I thought the racquet was extremely spin friendly and powerful (completely understand when people say that they have a tough time taming its power). It's an extremely rewarding racquet to hit with, but not in the same regard as the Pure Aero for its spin generation. I also felt it completely comfortable (RPM Blast Rough @ 50#) with one of the largest sweet spots I've played with, stock. Definitely more plow on the 100 than the 98. I'll probably end up going with the 100 over the 98, as I had a marginally better demo with it. My main sticking point had been that I am more accustomed to MP sized frames and wondered if I would end up preferring a more control oriented or power/spin oriented version.

What was the #1 most painful racquet? And also, can you explain how it was a positive in terms of stability but a negative in terms of plough through? Thanks, love you!

@@MarkSansait totally agree! The Ezone 98 was such a disappointment in terms of stability and plow through (felt like I had to swing 100% every time in order to hit a decent deep ball). I was curious what your thoughts are on the prior Pure Drive models and whether you generally like them?

Weird that I see so many wildly differing experiences with Pure Drive racquets. One person is raving about a racquet while another is totally disgusted by the same stick! Specs apparently differ a lot, too. That may be a big part of this problem. Jonas' and Harry's 2021 Pure Drives were 30 (!) swingweight points apart (334 and 304). That's ridiculous! What string and tension did you use btw?

gotta try a pure drive with the cortex. early 2000's frame. They were cannons on the serve and the "flex point" made them quite powerful with still being comfortable. Give those a shot if you can find one. easily add 10-20mph on your flat serve

This racquet has a crazy low swingweight, just like the Aero 98 and the Head Extreme Tour. That's why you feel you play with a toy, too quick and uncomfortable.
