Because if if you pay attention at the entrance of the game Zahha appears looking at a destroyed planet and the mysterious voice, that probably belongs to the mastermind said that his world was also destroyed and he blames the gods for that. So in my theory the mastermind is collecting energy so he can destroy all the gods and since nobody besides Babidi and Zahha did magic at the moment Zahha is the only other option plus Shallot said that Zahha had the same smell that Dabura meaning that he came from the Demon Realm

I am currently using the new Gogeta's super kamehameha as Shallot's main ability and it deals quite a good amount of damage.
