    Loved MP9. I think most people were amazed at the performance from a high quality servo in the MP9. They are so ridiculously expensive to people new to the hobbie they do not believe that there could be that much of a difference. But when you can walk your car off the table instead of turn the wheels the difference is obvious

    They've become popular with the 1/10 race cars and really help to preserve the new-state of the aluminum chassis. Most sheets are cut for specific chassis shapes, but these universal sheets would be great for you: www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-universal-chassis-protective-sheet-black-2-ptk-1102/p447145 Just clean the chassis really good before with rubbing alcohol, and remove the front bumper if it attaches on the bottom so you can get the sheet under it; then reattach bumper. We show the install of a universal protector in this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/npmrs5mPcbK1qtI.html at 7:56 Hope that helps. -Brett

    Setting the gear mesh? I read about and found video, but I am unsure about how much play is needed. And is there lubrication placed on the pinion gear?

  • @AMain_Hobbies

    @AMain_Hobbies

    4 жыл бұрын

    No lubrication on the pinion. And you want just a little bit of play in the gears. A good measure is to run a piece of regular white printer paper through the gears and tighten up the motor with the gears pinching the paper. Then run the paper out and there you go. You just want the gears to have a little rocking motion in them. -Brett

  • @hobbyclubofficial

    hey how to choose pinion gear T number, and what a difference it makes, i am aware you use 29T for this car. based on what consideration? i am new to this hobby so sorry for the basic question

  • @AMain_Hobbies

    @AMain_Hobbies

    4 жыл бұрын

    That is good question. The buggy instruction manual has a gear chart in the back, and suggested the 29T pinion gear to be used with a 17.5T motor. If we gear up and use 30T pinion gear, we gain more RPM but lose torque; if we gear down and use 28T pinion gear, we gain torque but lose RPM. Gearing can be good tuning aid for big or small track size. Hope this helps. -Brett

    It's a good idea but our sensor wire isn't flat. Maybe when the sensor wire needs replacing, we'll invest in a flat one. -Brett

    Never use power tools with RC. We’ve known that since the 80’s.....

    Hello, Excuse me but never use a power drill or anything with power on your screws on your RC. What is wrong with you telling people who never built an RC car before, enable them to strip out their screws and bolts, what are you thinking. I like your videos but sometimes you need to think more clearly on your directions. Thank you, peace out
