I noticed in your midnight sun campaign you all used opportunity attacks, which aren’t part of the core rules. I’m so used to opportunity attacks from 5E and 3.5, so not having them seems odd to me. Im wondering what your impression is after using them in this system. Does it seem too powerful a mechanic given this system’s low hp and limit of 1 attack per turn?

You nailed my mistake! (one of many) This is why I have discovered that Shadowdark is a book really worthy of a thorough read, directly from the core text. Some of the rules skew 5e, some B/X, some in the middle, and some completely off in another direction. After having seen it a bit I've come to the conclusion the author knew what she was doing and it was playtested over 3 years, and yes, opportunity attacks spoil the action economy she is going for.

Eh, I'm good with this kind of adjustment; these modules weren't great for PC survival back in the day, so giving a very slight edge isn't that bad a thing 🙂
