20 years and I don't think I've ever seen a driver actually engage the parking brake to dump. Had a 745 on our last job. Only truck out there that would out do our fleet of a30g volvos.

"Regeneration" is a term that refers to the diesel particulate filter burning off soot by making the exhaust temperature very hot. If regeneration is not regularly performed, the filter can become completely clogged, requiring repair/replacement.

Instructional videos to experienced operators can be annoying, but to a newbie they are crucial to what the machine can and cannot do. As you get further along you will develop your own skills and style. Some people never become good operators as they have a poor feel for mechanics, inertia and physics.

I have many years on MOXY/DOOSAN, and years on VOLVO. And they are very different to operate. They also act different in the terrain. Doosan is very bumpy and give ur body a hard time. Volvo is more comfort. Would like to try those CAT Articulated Trucks.

Rossmann 2 years late to comment but I've operated these 740B's and Volvo 40 tonners. The volvos are much more comfortable but I'd still take a CAT. Theyre just easier and smoother to operate but they'll kill your back if your driving in any sort of rough terrain

Bill Blast Regen is a term used for diesel emissions, when a truck regens it raises the egts or exhaust gas temperature and sprays diesel fuel (2010 to 2012) or DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) which is urea (2013 to current time) into the exhaust system, it crystalizes and blows out whatever soot or carbon that wasn't burned completely. This system will kill engines or damage them severely because of the raised EGTs.

One thing that bothers me about this model is that all traction control is automated. Only kicks in AFTER you lose traction. With the older machines, I could pick a choose between inter axle and my diff lock. I could engage either BEFORE any traction was lost which enabled me to get through tougher situations and not get stuck.
