Ingredients:
- 1 American sweet corn
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon dhaniya jeera powder
- 1/2 tablespoon chat masala
- 1/4 tablespoon hing
- 1/4 tablespoon haldi powder
- 2 finely chopped green chillies
- 2 tablespoons rice flour
- 4 tablespoons besan (gram flour)
- 2-3 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon hot oil
- Oil for frying
Method:
1. Start by removing the corn kernels from the cob using a knife. Place the corn in a bowl.
2. Add 1/2 tablespoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of dhaniya jeera powder, 1/2 tablespoon of chat masala, 1/4 tablespoon of hing, and 1/4 tablespoon of haldi powder to the corn.
3. Next, add 2 finely chopped green chillies to the bowl.
4. Now, add 2 tablespoons of rice flour and 4 tablespoons of besan to the mixture.
5. Mix all the ingredients well. Then, add 2-3 tablespoons of water to make a thick batter.
6. To make the batter even more crispy, add 1 tablespoon of hot oil and mix well.
7. Heat oil in a pan for frying the pakodas.
8. Take a small portion of the batter and make small pakodas out of it.
9. Fry the pakodas in medium hot oil until they turn golden brown.
10. Serve the crispy corn pakodas with tomato chutney, green chillies, onions, or a cup of chai - whatever you prefer.
