I actually just visited Takayama last month! A really nice and welcoming place for anime fans. By the way, the school and the sakura tree at the end of the last episode are also real life places that you can visit for anyone planning a trip there. I stayed there for two days but I still strongly feel that it's a pity that I couldn't stay for much longer. I would revisit the place without a doubt whenever I have the chance in the future. Wish to go back to Takayama asap! Thank you for your video by the way, it really brings back some pretty good memory to me!

If you go to Takayama next time, please visit Kamikochi and Shirakawa-go, which can be reached by bus from Takayama Station! One of the most beautiful places in Japan!

This is great! I've always wanted to visit Takayama just for Hyouka. I also want to visit nearby Hida-Furukawa for Your Name (Kimi No Na Wa). Although I reckon a full day may not be enough if I want to visit all spots from Hyouka alone.

You can visit the anime locations in Hida Furukawa in half a day. You will need a full day to visit the anime locations in Hida Takayama. Both Hida Takayama and Hida Furukawa are great tourist destinations. It's a good idea to visit places other than the anime locations as well.

It's a very peaceful town and many of old culture what a nostalgia feeling even I'm not Japanese I'm still feeling of nostalgia. thank for presenting such a heart-warming place

Hida Takayama is a very popular tourist destination for foreigners. Near Hida Takayama are Hida Furukawa, which is famous for your name, and Shirakawa-go, Higurashi When They Cry.

初めまして、夏に高山ラーメン食べたのですが、わかったこと、高山ラーメンは冬で雪の中でなんでしょうね。今年はコロナが静かなら、２月に宝来とラーメン、４月３日のあの祭り がみたいですね。

そうですね。 冬や春も魅力的なのでしょうが、凄く遠いので、 僕の場合、飛騨方面は登山とセットで夏か秋に行く事はあると思いますが、 残念ながら春や冬はなかなか、行く機会がないとおもいます。 冬の白川郷なども行きたいのですが。

私も2年ほど前に行きました。 こんなに綺麗な街並みと、あの作品の舞台だと思うと感動でホテルで泣いてました笑 久しぶりに街並みが見れて楽しかったです

If you just visit real life locations, you can do it in one day. Bud I think that if you have two days, you can visit most of the real life locations and then go sightseeing in Hida Takayama. And if you go all the way to Hida Takayama, I strongly recommend going to your name's real life location Hida Furukawa and Higurashi When They Cry's real life location Shirakawa-go. Both are very beautiful tourist destinations.

Thank you for your reply! I spent 2 days in Takayama and I loved it! There is a stamp rally right now for Hyouka’s 10th anniversary and you go to 5 locations to complete a postcard! I only stayed in Takayama this time. I live in Japan so I’ll go to the other places you recommended another time! 😊
