B&N Mobil Directo Alert & Attack - Milwaukee, WI

The other week after I was done filming the 2001-130 in Adell, WI I traveled down to Milwaukee for the 2nd test of the day the last operational Mobil Directo in Wisconsin. I got there with a few minutes to spare and set up under a tree to get out of the sun. I attempted to record this siren in January, but it ended up being too cold out and they decided not to test. For this test though, it ended up being the total opposite of Januarys trial. At the time of testing, it was 93 degrees out which ended up making for a pretty hot test. I was happy when the siren ended up going for both alert and attack. It appears as if at one point in time that ACA had refurbished this siren due to the fact that the siren is grey in color and has both ACA decals on the siren head, and also has an ACA motor starter cabinet. As you may notice the tones sound different from other videos from Milwaukee. Last year Milwaukee implemented tone encryption with timestamps to prevent malicious activations. I took this another step further by adding additional tones over the FSK to add another layer of security, Milwaukee county tests their sirens on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 12:00 weather permitting. Haha that's near my house along with the P-50 I recorded oh I even live near a T-128 that Replaced a P-50 so it's pretty funny I live near 3 sirens but glad to hear the B&N is going strong 👍🏻

I'm not sure if this is 100% true or not but I've heard that the single toned ones were gas only. So if this was refurbished they put an electric motor on it

There was this yellow mobil directo on top of a highschool and it sounded 8 port and the title says bn44, correct me if im wrong, bn44s are 10/12 except bn44g (gas powered bn44) there was this comment reply saying this siren is always electric, but dudde its 8 port, its former gas, you cant understand the concept, hes a siren kiddie If youre curious heres the link kzread.info/dash/bejne/nGiKw9KTmtncXcY.html scroll down to the specific comments you saw

I think the only reason this one still exists is because it’s an 8 port model. If it were 10/12, it probably would have been gone for a long time by now.
