Thanks for posting this great footage of the organ playing a fantastic arrangement. Anyone recognize the tune or arranger??? The carousel looks simply UNBELIEVABLE. I was there over 15 years ago when the horses still had the reddish palomino paint, and I almost can't believe it's the same carousel. It looks GREAT now!!!

The people who restored it did a wonderful job! The Bruder Apollo sounds amazing! The only problem with the organ is that they never change the rolls like they used to before it was restored.

@@sammorex2543 Aha... time to take this organ for myself. LOL. I have quite a bit of band organs on my list...I remember seeing Jerry Doring's Elite Apollo go up for auction on invaluable 2 years ago, I have pictures of it from the auction, with it's percussion and it's roll frames... not only does the Doring organ play BAB 66 key rolls, but also Wurlitzer 165 rolls for obvious reasons.

@@CBF1 If you buy it please share it with the world! "Elite Orchestra Apollos" are too rare and beautiful not to be enjoyed! All in public right now in the U.S. are not functional and the only functioning one is in a private collection in the U.S.

@@sammorex2543 Only if one ever appears FS again of course. I would make 99999999999999999999999 recordings had I owned any of the band organs I desire to own. I highly doubt Coney Island will ever sell their Elite Apollo unless if they see no more use for it or something. It would just be retarded to leave it rot on a carousel doing absolutely nothing when it should be blasting out the music it was made for.

@@CBF1 Well, "letting it rot" is sadly the case for the 106 keyless one at the Flushing Meadows Carousel. It hasn't worked in over 20 years.
