B-1 Lancer Bomber: Spectacular Bomb Release Testing!
The B-1 Lancer is a variable-geometry, blended-wing bomber operated by the United States Air Force (USAF). It's an impressive aircraft, capable of carrying a large payload. In fact, after numerous inspections and upgrades, the aircraft will join the Dyess fleet later this year. The USAF currently operates 45 B-1Bs, with some being stored in a "recallable" condition, meaning they can be quickly returned to service if needed. The B-1B has a rich history, with the first production model flying in 1984 and the first delivery to Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, in 1985. It's also held almost 50 world records for speed, payload, range, and time of climb in its class.
