Everything you ever wanted to know about Azure Routing explained in plain english with an easy to understand story in a super simplified way

2. We will talk about what a route table with a simple easy to understand New York City to SFO analogy.
3. The new Zoo Keeper has stringent requirements to route traffic a certain way
4. We will also talk about how routing priorities work in Azure and how Azure picks a route when we have User Defined Routes, System Routes and BGP routes.
5. We will talk about how User Defined Routes are created from the portal and how they are associated to a subnet.
6. What are the different next hop types in User Defined Routes and how we can use them to accomplish the requirements set by the new ZooKeeper Appliance.
All this in 10 minutes. I promise you - you won't be bored and the video will keep you engaged :)

I have a doubt here, wont creating a route to drop traffic from Dog to hyna subnet as src- user, dest- hyna subnet, next-hop - none drop all the traffic towards hyna subnet no matter what the source address is ? I am saying this because source address is not defined here in any of the route, so how will this work ?
Nice... thanks to the brief explanation.

This was very very helpful! Wish you can make more videos on Azure like that! 🙏🏿 you are awesome . Pls lower the background music alil bit if possible. Just a suggestion.
You beautifully demystified a rather complex topic, Mr. Monk! Now, I understand monks aren't typically interested in monetization (:D), but honestly, if you were to ever create a crash-course on Azure, I would pay :) Thanks a ton again.

I now understand what animals are in the zoo
how do you know |user|hyena|none| only drops traffic from the dog subnet and not also other subnets?
Good evening Thanks for Sharing amazing videos with us. I am facing one issue. I am unable to connect to storage account from Azure virtual machines. Both resides in same region. Whereas from other regions and on premises it is accessible. Could you please help to understand this. Thanks in Advance

Thank you, have you checked the NSGs or routes on the virtual machine. Ideally you should have a service endpoint for storage or your routes should be set as allow via firewall/nva for storage urls.

@@cloud-monk Thanks for the update. I am able to successfully connect using service endpoint or private endpoint, but i am unable to understand the logic that after whitelisting public IP of VM also why i am unable to access the storage account if they are in same region. It would be a great help if you could help me understand the logic and share some relevant links..!!
Excellent explanation. Where can I buy your courses ?
