Thanks for the video! I would have forgotten about challenge mode. I did 3:26 first try with Bismarck 2, Shinano, Hakuryuu, Anchorage, Kazagumo, Helena. I needed to play manual to adjust slight timing drift between Bismarck and the carriers. the only rainbow equips I used were 2 x +13 Tenrai. I had only one heal because as both were at around 17 Bars I loaded up 4 air strikes and finished them.

I had forgotten about extreme mode after getting got timed out in auto! Just cleared it now (my unused Kazagumo went from 100 to 122 in a flash). Great reminder video!

Thank you, made a full manual run with a similar gear composite than you and also managed to do it in just over 5 mins. Sure, I lost Anchorage and Kazugomo, but it worked out in the end. ^^

S Clear doesn't seem to count for much in this game mode oddly enough.

I did it with very expensive main fleet: Bismarck Zwei, Musashi, Implacable (116,117,119). And also expensive vanguard: Kronstadt, Helena retrofit (with beaver squad aux), and Shimakaze (115, 117, 120). I managed to beat the last stage of Challenge Mode with 13sec left, and i was just a lv.99 skk (now 100). Man, Kronstadt's survivability is no joke as she literally face tank most of the incoming damage (also Zwei's Geryon too).

I actually managed a good auto on hard with Bis Zwei, Musashi, Vanguard, and then Agir(Though I think anchorage or kronk probably would have been better, given I think either her or ply was the only one to survive) Helena, Plymouth. 6:41 and killing them on the last heal cycle(I think) is *pretty good*. Particularly considering I think I only controlled it manually at the start to focus down South Dakota, IIRC. Regardless though, playing it on auto is playing with RNG and hoping the shells do damage where you want them to. You can either get good luck(My medium run got 3:33), or you can get really bad luck(my easy run was only slightly shorter than my medium run).

I like the "difficulty" but at the same time I feel like it's a jump to the "requirements" of getting the avatar frame compared to the last run of challenge mode. Also what is the reward for the easy mode clear? I thought it showed it has an avatar frame reward too.

Easy difficulty gives the original, season one chatframe of Challenge mode from before it was discontinued(I know this because I didn't have it before, lol.).

I haven't tried Hard yet. I barely squeaked by with an Auto clear on Normal. I figured I don't have enough of a proper fleet yet to handle the battle.

Ägir is actually quite good for syncing the two ships since her torpedoes can slow down one of them and let the other catch up. Then you can use freeze on CV to make the two ships bunch up into one and then do AOE damage to hit both of them.

Yes Agir's slow torps can be really good here on manual. And she's tanky enough.

Is there another ship that I can replace the kazagumo with? I just found out that kazagumo and sirius are quite strong :(

I was just lazy, threw together Musashi and Bisko with a Unicorn in there for some heals so that my Vanguard of Ägir, Helena and Plymouth wouldn't die after a few minutes, went afk and came back 8 minutes of full auto later to see the victory screen. Definitely doable even if one completely ignores the actual mech.

Yep that's a strategy if you don't care about time and want to clear for the frame with minimal effort. I feel you.

3:51 on hard mode. If I remember correctly I used a similar team (but with Helena instead of Shimakaze), I could improve that time but I have no motivation. (switching between my challenge mode and Algerie Meta gears/tech bonus is annoying so I ended up giving up challenge mode)

First try 5:22 with Implacable, Shinano, Hakuryuu, Agir, Kazagumo, Helena. Sub fleet standard KMS, only brought it in for the killshot so could have been literally anything and it would have worked. Didn't bother setting up gear so had two wyverns on Hakuryuu messing up my timing, could have been a lot faster.

Got 5:00 exactly with Implacable, Hakuryuu, Shinano, Anchorage, Shimakaze, and Sirius

So, before I've gone insane, thankfully, I cleared it with Meta's main fleet and strategy set up. God, 5 tries, around 45 minutes of painful manual and I did it. My time was something like 9:46. My set up was: Meta's main fleet and my vanguard was Brest (dev 30) Kazagumo, Agir (dev 30). They went down to 4 and 5 so I prayed and covered the skies with planes lol I was so close to throwing my phone out of the window... But Meta came to save the day, praise Meta everyone❤

CVs tend to do better against Heavy armor. Also this fleet could have auto'd this, but we were going for time.

I got 4:51 on first try on fully auto, meaning they did heal 3 times. I used Shinano/Implacable/Hakuryuu with Kronk/Kazagumo/Scylla. This is my CV fleet optimized for heavy armor enemies

Oh that is an interesting tactic. Didn't think to use the vanguard to reposition them.

Welp, tried to match this setup as best I could with the ships/gear I have. (Aquila, Shinano, Implacable // Anchorage, Shima, Agir) Got plenty of gold/rainbow gear at or over +10 Took me 6+ minutes to get one kill, eventually ran out of vanguard with about 2 minutes left. Oh well.

Depending of you level and gear that fleet comp should work (albeit much slower). If the VG is dying you can always double fighter Aquila too.

Hello, Azur Lane Meta. I have a question for you. My friend is concerned about me getting flagged for cheating for the usage of recording apps like OBS Studio because of "Overlay". What kind of recording program you use? Is he right? Can I get banned for recording a video in the game?

Same answer as the last video you posted this question on: OBS will not cause you any problems. They are looking for modified clients that are sending fake packets to there servers. They are also logging play time, so if you create a macro/bot that plays 24/7 that will get you hit too. Using a recording software like OBS will not get you hit. 4:31 with hakuryuu/implacable/shinano and sirius/kazagumo/shimakaze and i think i did pretty good :D took 3 tries. very easy to lose your vanguard tho

Ya no tanks in that set up, but if you can manual skill it through, works well.

Ran Implac Shinano and Musashi. My Haku isn’t Dev 30 yet so I didn’t bother with her. I think Shinano did the most but Musashi and Implac were pretty similar. Vanguard was Drake Shima Helena and the latter two ended up having survivability issues but Drake was a very stable tank. My Drake is 30 so she was my option (aside from Krond/Azuma but I found her better). Shima had double rainbow torps (aux slot) with the non-magnetic rainbow torps and ended up doing an incredible amount anyways. Also have no --Wyverns-- Tenrai to run nor do I have the rainbow AP georgia gun. No rainbow magnetic either and I'm still using the rapid fire blue gun for Shima. (Overall, my gear is maxed but I haven't really spent time grinding for gear lab gears) My method was just brute forcing Washington until she died and then Finishing SD. Of course, my time was horrible, above 9 minutes. This was all manual play too. Idk if maybe the gears will make all the difference or I just need Haku/Plymouth. People able to auto the mode faster than I can Manual it so I suppose that says something. Still, I think the revamp is good enough since (to me) early and mid game players will probably need to manual or can’t beat it at all.

That makes sense, not having DL30 Hakuryuu makes sense to try and find an alternative. Musashi is a good replacement. Less utility of Kazagumo, but you can always swap her with Plymouth if Musashi if the flagship.

Got 4:16 on auto with BismarckZ/NJ/Vanguard (all with Georgia guns) and Agir/Helena/Plymouth in the vanguard

@@AzurLaneMeta +10% hit skill every 20s. Was a bad choice. Too hard to time air strikes for the hit buff on such a long fight. Also boss shops were 125, so I really didn't need the hit buff.

I didn't know you could use subs in this challenge mode...that would have made things a lot easier...

@@AzurLaneMeta worst offender is rainbow mags over mkIX (british conga line torps) on manual vanguard pressure in there also isn't enough to need toolboxes over oxygen torpedoes especially with anchorage in the fleet 100mm on shima is not ideal, especially against heavy where the barrage torps are at their best

Doing this with Formidable instead of Implacable is pain
