Among all the great Avatar and Korra villains, Azula will always be the best. Her complexity is unmatched.

Song is a great contrast with the image Azula created for herself. A cunning, regal and "perfect" Firebender, but boiling underneath is a unstable, sadistic and psychotic young woman who seeks approval and love from a man who will give her neither (what did you expect? Its the Joker!) This was a fantastic tribute to end women's month. I cannot wait to see what you have planned for March.

Yes, she is a great villain, her great strength and intelligence made her stand out a lot, but mainly for her confident and arrogant personality. She had a tragic end, but well, according to the creators, when asked if she is really as evil as she seems, they said that there are really evil people in the world, but in the case of azula it was due to circumstances, and they said that if Zuko and Katara spared her life, she still has a chance to heal, so just hope that in the end she redeemed herself like Zuko and lived the rest of her life alongside her family.

@@Willianvitor270 Yeah a good spin off would be one about her seeking redemption. Like escaping the psych ward and losing her memory and going on a journey to get it back finding out who she is and being set up by an even worse villain as a terrorist.

@@hordakprime6172 Interesting you say that, because there would really be a redemption arc for Azula, it would be in the possible 4th season of Avatar the last airbender. This was said by Aaron Ehasz (one of the writers), he posted on Twitter, he said that one of the main focuses of season 4 would be a redemption arc for Azula, she would be helped by her brother Zuko, who would be extremely patient, forgiving and unconditionally loving, all the strength he gained from Uncle Iroh, he would do his best to understand her and help her bear her pain that she can no longer bear alone. Unfortunately season 4 didn't happen, but they thought about it.

I understand now what people meant when they said that Azula is a better written villain than Ozai. And they are right. Azula is most definitely a better and proper written villain. Ozai was just set up to be the final boss of the show. A “means to an end” as people call it. However people do need to understand that what makes Ozai still stand out is his influence on various characters throughout the course of the series. Characters like Zuko, Iroh, Azula, Aang, Katara, and basically almost everybody. Am I right or wrong?

Definitely. Ozai is not that good as a character, but his presence is strong. He is almost the personification of Fire Nation itself and his influence in other characters guides the plot many times

Oh this villain. She's pretty good but I think she is very overpraised. Her defeat and descent into madness felt forced to me. She stands out more compared to Ozai. But then again, I feel like Avatar is just overpraised in general.
