Zuko and Azula really always felt like the "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work" trope, except it gets distorted by the fact that azula generally is hard working and dedicated. It's why she ultimately is stronger than him and did technically win their Agni Kai despite it being underhanded. Her downfall true downfall isn't that Zuko defeated her as an enemy, it's that Zuko was mentally stronger and became his ultimate self whereas Azula will always be ""wasted potential"" since her pride will never allow her to accept her ideology/reason for living was wrong. I do hope this hypothetical Zuko sequel does allow us to see Zuko's "final form" where he gains ultimate mental and physical strength and truly commands respect the way Iroh does, and it'll be interesting to see if Azula ever acknowledges her ideological weakness or if she dies with her pride, forever being wasted potential (the latter feels more true to her character imo).

Also about their names: Azula comes from Azulon, while Zuko is similar to Roku

It's probably the case in meta way, but in Avatar universe... I doubt it🤨 Roku was the enemy of Sozin, and therefore the Fire Nation. So I can't really imagine a Fire Nation prince like Ozai naming his firstborn son after their enemy🤷‍♀️ Also, I always imagined that Zuko would be named after his great grandfather Sozin. But since it's noted that Zuko was born without that spark in his eyes that the firebenders had, so Ozai probably didn't want to name him after such a powerful firebender like Sozin since it could've been taken as an insult to name a nonbender (Zuko turned out to be a bender though😅). I mean we know Azula had spark in her eyes and it shined bright, so much that Ozai wanted to name his second born daughter after his father who is the Fire Lord and also a powerful firebender🤔

@@teamblack204 One of the prominent themes in the show is Zuko's destiny. Choosing between the good and evil, learning he is descendant of avatar bloodline while carrying sins of his royal ancestors. The dispute starts with his two grandfathers, Sozin and Roku, and Zuko puts an end to all siding with Roku. So it's a knowing decision on the creator's part.

@@mai-qy9ji Yep, it's indeed the creators' touch. I don't disagree. I'm just saying that it wouldn't have been an intentional choice in avatar universe.

6:49 Just a small mistake, Zuko is the OLDER brother, not younger😂 But I know this one was an accident since you already said Azula was the younger one like Ozai lol... But regardless, it's an awesome video about an awesome villain! Keep that up❤

Great video. Also, about Azula being defeated by a "Water Tribe peasant". That's Azula's words, technically Katara and Azula are both princesses one just comes from a radically poor nation and one from a larger more powerful one. Peace ✌🏻

Honestly, it's irritating when people give this argument. No, in the terms of royalty, Azula and Katara are not on the same status. Azula is the crown princess (she was Ozai's heir), daughter of the Fire Lord, which is the Avatar version of an Emperor Meanwhile Katara was the daughter of chief. So in a sense, she's like the daughter of a local president. She even made fun of Sokka when he introduced himself as a prince to Yue, who was actually a princess lol

@@teamblack204 Well it’s hereditary for one, and just he doesn’t live like a king doesn’t mean he isn’t one. Like I said the water tribe’s a poor nation, so there’s really no visible class distinctions, but there most likely was before the war.
