Especially because he knows it was him that drove Crowley away, him, the angel in love with a demon, who had come to realize that might have been the last time he would ever get to see Crowley again. Imagine it? The last time you see the person you’re in love with and you’ve made them upset, I truly believe half of his verge of crying had to do with guilt just as much as heartbreak.

Oh wow, I didn't even consider the aphrodisiac angle! I was thinking more along the lines of the literary use of the word. From Ancient Greek plays up to Shakespearean comedies, the word "oyster" was used as a slang for...well, the body part it resembles. It was a not-so-subtle use of wordplay for sexual innuendo, both for comedic effect but also (for homosexual men) as a way of recognizing reciprocal interest in each other. So for Crowley to say he's "never eaten an oyster" is him basically telling Aziraphale both his sexual orientation and his interest in him!

I crack up every time Azi is like "let me tempt you!" And Crowley doesn't even say anything he just looks at him and is just like "oh really? Are you now?" And Azi realizes what he says and gets all shy and awkward.

Imo their toast at the end also really shows his love. The way Aziraphale emphasizes "world", paired with that look of adoration makes me think he's implying that Crowley's his whole world. Too adorable, my heart-

I knew when I first watched this series that Aziraphale loved Crowley and vice versa. This is so good. I wanna cry.

3:16 the hopefulness in his voice breaks me every time. He wants to go with Crowley but he still has a shred of faith in a plan that’s doomed to fail. It hurts him so much that he can’t even watch Crowley leave, he turns away.

Seriously though. 😭 the book scene is so cute, he goes out his way to divert the bomb and save him, even going into the church which is holy ground. Then he saves his books because he knows they’re important to him and then he’s giving him a lift home too. Awwww 🥰 you can see how much he cares for him and it’s adorable.
