It's Saturday morning. I've done the shopping and can watch this with a cup of coffee. Perfect.
Thanks for the detailed information and love your videos Corin. You have simply amazing trees.
Love to see a new video notification on a sunny Saturday morning here in California 🌤
Busting into reggae was a nice touch.
You the best!
Another perfect production, it’s the first time I’ve sat and watched an azalea as I’ve never been too sure of them tbh but I have to say It’s really interesting 😜
Mu favorite species! Thank you for sharing more detail about repotting azaleas, it’s very useful!
Thanks Corin. Interesting and informative. I wouldn't have thought that so much root could be removed in summer.
Another superb video. Always greatly appreciated 👍
Fantastic video. Very educational. Although the music was nice while u were combing it out, i would still have liked to hear what you were saying. Your expertise is invaluable. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge😊
Great wrk.
Thank you, helpful and informative vid as always. I like your calm, relaxed, and informal style of presenting the information. I almost feel like I’ve been meditating or something after watching you working on the beautiful trees with the sound of the breeze through the trees in the background, very rewarding and always a pleasure, please keep them coming and have a wonderful summer mate 👍🏻☺️
HOLA DESDE MAR DEL PLATA ARGENTINA ,,,EXELENTE VIDEO
Great video
That root ball was solid! Great job on the repot Corin.
Subbed !
Once again fantastic to watch . Thanks for your time and know how..
Great content Corin. Answered a few of my questions. Thanks very much 🌳🌳👍
Bonsai phill very good quality tree nice trunk line looking good we'll done corin thanks mate
Hello, Corin! Kudos to your camera person who always moves around for best angles, gets close ups when needed for detail work and then moves out for the big view. He/she follows your dialogue well so we can always see what you're working on and the details you're pointing out. A word on the new microphone. All the other sounds--pouring the medium, snipping growth & roots, moving tools around, etc.--are coming across much louder than your voice. And your voice is somewhat harder to understand--it's not as clear as before. But I appreciate your wanting to try new things and improve! Really enjoy your channel.
Beautiful tree nice seeing the roots trimmed ,cut, shaped ready for re potting and what to do once the tree has finish flowering , great video as always
LO SEGUIRE EN OTROS TRABAJOS QUE REALICE. ME PARECIO MUY SIMPLE Y CLARO DE ENTENDER A CULTIVAR BONSAIS ...
beaulful bonsai
Great vid cheers Corin I’ve followed suit with my Satsuki this year with repot and deflower budding Fingers crossed better display next year
Great video.
Wow amazing bonsai. Super
So relaxing and good.
beautiful bonsai
The new mic was booming a bit to start with but I'm sure you'll get a grip of it. Great demo.
Really glad you mentioned the difference between what works in different climates! Even within a country, different regions may have climates different enough to make certain methods work differently. What works for my parents in their wind-sheltered south facing garden in Kent doesn’t always work in my windy northwest-facing garden at the top of a hill in Sheffield
So beautiful 😍
Very sorry I was unable to make it this year! 😢 It was obviously very popular and I’m sure a great success, congratulations to you all.
Awsome Video, thank you
AMAZING
Bela planta , parabéns 👏👏
Very useful. Thanks Corin... Satsukis are one of a number of species I know need handling a bit differently but nothing more so I've avoided them so far. This never works of course, your friends and family buy them and assume you can help. 🤣
Thanks Corin.
Nice.
What I like about Corin is that while the vast majority use bamboo sticks to insert the substrate, he wields stakes capable of killing Count Dracula ... simply great

some trees need big boys tools
I'm relatively new to bonsai, and watching your tutorials is so inspiring.Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I do have a question.I see you use neat akadama instead of a soil based medium.can you tell me of the benefits of that?I should mention I live in Australia,so I've been adjusting for our climate.I just don't know enough about akadama.
Dear Corin. The First Azalea is the Tree to big for the Pot? Please show this Azalea 🌺 getting repotted if you Can. How long will the Customer Tree stay in the Training Pot? Nice Work Corin and could you Do a Tour of your Bonsai Garden? Thanks. Greg

No, I'd say the pot is fine it has been re-potted into it for the next 3 years now.

The large Azalea of mine has already been done this year, so now won't be re-potted for another 3 years. Process was the same as in the video
May I suggest a full video at normal speed like your previous repottings? After all, those who find it boring can always change playback speed on settings. Thank you for another good video.

we speeded it up as audio quality was poor.
Hi Corin, you're right about the variation in climate, I'm in Madrid and I cannot repot the satsukis any later than April, otherwise the hot dry air just devastates them for weeks afterwards. So it's safest in a Mediterranean climate to repot azaleas in mid february, then a greenhouse isn't needed for recovery. But I guess in UK you would normally repot them in May after flowering?
With a pot like that, is it necessary to use a wire to secure the drainage screen? I feel that once you put a layer of soil on, that mesh will never move

I have no luck with wiring the mesh. I've been hot gluing the mesh down as step one

@@christinedozier6071 haha whatever works I guess. I also had trouble with it, I find that if your mesh is sturdy(not too bendable) then it is much easier to wire in but at the same time I have a lot of pots with the mesh not wired in and they never move
@greenwoodbonsaistudio

Its just best practice to wire it in, doesn't take a min

When is the time to start feeding the three after repotting ?
Would love to see these killers in full flower. When soil gets hydrophobic like that, would soaking up to the pot line in water for 15/20 mins be advisable to rehydrate?

No. best to water from above with Kanuma, as it you soak it the fresh kanuma rises and floats away !
Hi Corin, is the blue rectangle pot in the background for sale, what is the price and what are the origin of the pot and is it from Japan? I bought something very similar and I’ve been told that it’s tokoname ,
Thanks again for a great video. I have an azealia in training and do not have a greenhouse, when would you say is the best time to repot

In the UK I like to do them after flowering.

best to email a photo to office@bonsai.co.uk, or call us on 0115 9205757 so we can guide you with it's care.
In the speeded up section your talking looks like you are beat boxing the excellent reggae rhythm.
