Visitamos a una comunidad indígena, los Wounaan del Puerto Chichiliano. Son originarios del Bajo San Juan, Chocó. Indígenas desplazados por la violencia histórica de Colombia por décadas. En este momento, están ubicados en un espacio que les cedió la SAE de forma provisional. Actualmente se ven enfrentados a limitaciones por su ubicación actual, afectando esto sus prácticas ancestrales y laborales. En este momento, esta comunidad por su difícil situación demandan alimento, protección y atención integral del Estado pero también de tod@s los que creemos que "el propósito de la vida es servir, mostrar compasión y tener voluntad de ayudar a otros." Es muy triste, esta comunidad resiste y se mantiene en medio del abandono.
We visited an indigenous community, the Wounaan of Puerto Chichiliano. They are originally from Bajo San Juan, Chocó. Indigenous people displaced by the historical violence in Colombia for decades. At the moment, they are located in a space given to them by the SAE on a provisional basis. They are currently facing limitations due to their current location, affecting their ancestral and labor practices. At this moment, due to their difficult situation, this community demands food, protection and integral attention from the State but also from all of us who believe that "the purpose of life is to serve, to show compassion and to have the will to help others". It is very sad, this community resists and remains in the midst of abandonment.
