In my mind, this is Senna's greatest ever drive. Donington 1993 was more spectacular, but this is just a legendary, heroic drive. No driver aids, fully manual car, with truly great rivals in the same race, and just the sheer effort to finish the race exhausted beyond his physical limits with a broken car... it's an easy choice to think of this as Ayrton's greatest-ever race. I always hang Senna's Brasil 1991 podium photo at the wall in my office - the one he is keeping trophy in one hand and you can see Ron's hands trying to secure if it falls down - gives me a lot of motivation.

the documentary is not correct. Senna had not 3 gears left, he had only 1 gear (the sixth). his legendary status was born that day.

He was a Messiah to an impressionable youngster. He was only ever on loan I suspect What I miss mostly is how he pronounced the word circuit 😊

The material captured for it certainly made for a very good F1 review video for that season. It's funny how things change as you get older...as a child, when watching those videos endlessly (particularly 89-91), I found all the interview/between-race news stuff boring, now it's the opposite. So, having now found these Inside Tracks, which I never knew existed, they're an absolute goldmine.

Emerson clearly got the short end of the stick looks-wise in the Fittipaldi family. 😮
