We have so many genres in Nigeria right we listen to any genre based on the occasion in parties we can have like fuji, juju, highlife , afrobeat, afrobeats but you see there is afro-pop , afro fusion from burna but the mother tree is afrobeat, they mix r&b, pop , rock pop , soul , electronic with afrobeat which gives u afrobeats or like burna says afro fusion
The guy that dances at the end (The Poco lee she refers to at the end) invented the leg work we see everywhere now.
She's Nigerian, she's signed to the mother label of Rema & Ruger
Jajajajaj me pasó lo mismo al escuchar la canción, es inevitable no bailarla jajajajajaja imposible no bailar con esta canción, ella es maravillosa 🎶🎶🎶🦋🦋
Yes we listen to African music generally but then we listen to a lot of music around the world also. Like different genres have come and gone in Nigeria. From Raggae to Hip Hop to R &B and then with African sounds, it is hard to exhaust beats because we mostly move to beats and we make up new ones all the time.
Honestly I'm East African, been listening to afrobeats once early 2000s and each new song hits me everytime!!! Especially in the last two years with everyone going mainstream, afrobeats is changing A LOT!! Hello Amapiano style music!!!
Check “Fave” she is definitely one of the big three Nigerian female artists (+ tems and ayraa)
At a time in Nigeria entertainment history, hip-pop/ American music dominated the soundscape till the 2000's, around the 2010's or a bit earlier than that(stand to be corrected) the soundscape changed. It's somewhat difficult for hip-hop Nigerian artists to make it big( few exceptions). Afrobeats; afropop; afroswing is the ish, songs like this and other more are the rave of the musical soundscape in Nigerian ( everything Afro).

It's crazy the even I can't keep tab of the number of new artist/creatives that comes out of Nigeria and the world not to speak of other African countries. These are the many few that cross-international. It's mind blowing

You are right with your submission, the whole new musical landscape of Nigeria changed earlier 2000.
The language she used in the song is pidgin (broken English) mostly known to Nigerians.

Afrobeat is the dominating genre. It's regular music
The dominant genre in Nigeria is afro beats however, we do have other genres too
The observation you genuinely made is perfectly correct. This laugh is always infectious, viral and attractive.
Yes. Our top genre is Afrobeat followed by other genres. No offense but hip hop is like number 6 on genres popping in Nigeria and d rest of africa
Hip hop doesn't even sell in Nigeria .. and it's a problem. Shout out to MI for still pushing the culture.

You have started vibing real hard to the Nigerian pidgin English. One love bro
She’s Tems cousin & we have different genres & sub genres. Afrobeats, Highlife, Juju , Fuji etc . Afrobeats has Afrorave, Afropop etc. I’m surprised that she’s high up coz I mean Yemi Alade is currently the biggest female artiste out of Nigeria & other artistes such as Niniola, Teni( Niniola’s sister) , Fave , Ugoccie , Tiwa Savage etc are killing it. Also check out Achikolo, Ogene , Ashewo, Looking Nyash you’d love them. Nigerian music but not Afrobeats and they have really danceable beats

You're correct bro. Afrobeats is our major music, that's our beat and sound as well. However, 2 years ago Amapiano was created in South Africa and it has effect on some songs. But You're right, Afrobeats dominates our music industry
