This song reminds me of my grandpa...he use to sing it all the time...we are from Sasakwa, Oklahoma an was the pastor of Rock Springs Indian Baptist Church... I love to hear these songs,til this day I still cry for him...

My grandmother was a womans leader in Thewale church in Dustin As a young girl I sat behind her I hear the elders sing. Makes me home sick For all of them My uncle Eugene whitlow is the pastor there. Thank you for this page.

Can still hear my grandma singing, she was a member of spring babtist church in sasawkwa.. she went home with God in April This is very touching and beautiful

Thank you for the beautiful song it makes me think of my grandma and how she sung this songs at church. Im from snake creek Baptist church#2. It makes me think of the old days and it makes me smile to hear these songs still being sung. Never forget who you are and where you come from. Mvto

Our churches originated from the old regular baptists in Georgia and Alabama before indian removal to Oklahoma. So yes, it is a form of line singing.

I'm from Ada, Okla. and a member of Spring Baptist Church and not sure if we visited yall's church. I'm sure my dad has he is our head deacon at Spring Baptist. Again, thank you and God Bless You.

Alan Washington, I'll try to get some more on here. I don't record as much as I used to though. I'll try to find something. A lot of the recordings I have do not have very good sound quality.
