My grandmother was a womans leader in Thewale church in Dustin As a young girl I sat behind her I hear the elders sing. Makes me home sick For all of them My uncle Eugene whitlow is the pastor there. Thank you for this page.

Can still hear my grandma singing, she was a member of spring babtist church in sasawkwa.. she went home with God in April This is very touching and beautiful

Our churches originated from the old regular baptists in Georgia and Alabama before indian removal to Oklahoma. So yes, it is a form of line singing.

Thank you so much for publishing Native Hymn's I miss hearing them. I live in Houston, Texas and down here I don't get to hear native hymn. I'm from Ada, Okla. and a member of Spring Baptist Church and not sure if we visited yall's church. I'm sure my dad has he is our head deacon at Spring Baptist. Again, thank you and God Bless You.

Alan Washington, I'll try to get some more on here. I don't record as much as I used to though. I'll try to find something. A lot of the recordings I have do not have very good sound quality.
