The entire soundtrack for this anime was spectacular. Be it the instrumental pieces, the vocal pieces (OP, ED, and insert songs), and everything in-between was just glorious. The OST is just as classic as the series itself, me thinks.

I love how we, Haruhi fans, always come back every once in a while. I am super emotionally attached to the SOS brigade. Whenever I see a thing that's Haruhi related, I always remember the days when I am watching this anime as a kid and feel amazed every time, especially with Yuki Nagato, and now after how many years I still feel that same weird, magical feeling.

I remember getting the first novel the moment it came out in English. Read it three times in the first two weeks. Then when I bought the DVD I ended up watching it several times in a month. Not to mention the hours spent on youtube watching and subconsciously learning the Hare Hare Yukai dance. And learning the song on guitar and...Oh so much. But the obsession never fades no matter how many years pass. I still do all those things all the time. Haruhism never ends!

2023 and my hope for season 3 is over, aya hirano retired from voice acting but still have hopes for the light novel to finish, for god sake, may it end and not end in a cliffhanger because there i will cry for sure

i don't believe she's retired completely, she was the japanese dub voice actress of isabela in the encanto dub.

This anime was special to me, although I'm not 100% sure of why. I could tell you something that approximates a reason, but that's all it'd be, an approximation. Anyways, I recall watching it sometime in 2006, about a year before I graduated from high school... I am now in my last year of medical school and though I haven't watched an anime to completion in *years*, I look back on this one fondly (at least the first season). Definitely a good deal of nostalgia there. As I recall, my high school experience had, for the most part, been pretty bland, and I feel like there was some escapism to be found in watching this anime. Maybe I saw a little bit of myself in Kyon, perhaps wanting to be thrust into a world of wacky hijinx and adventures with a close-knit group of friends (which I also lacked at the time). This mini restrospective look adds another layer to the nostalgia, which now includes wanting to return to those *much simpler* times of high school... It was bland, as mentioned before, but I lived with not a care in the world haha... If you are living in 2020, you can perhaps agree with me when I say we live in very different times. I'm kinda rambling at this point, but I just wanna say I have mostly good thoughts about this anime. I have good memories of it, and I think it's that... the memories, that help me going forward, even if to the outside observer they may be of something as simple as anime. You know, now that I think about it. I DID buy all the light novels but I most certainly did not read all of them. I lost the thread somewhere around the middle and I think it's high time I read through all of them since I have a little bit of downtime nowadays. If you took your time to read through all of this, a bit of an apology and a thank you. I hope you stay safe out there.

Yes, ​Endless 8 allows one to feel a special type of despair and thus archives something although not exactly great for making money. Lots of little stuff change each episode so if you watch them with a notepad and look for differences it sort of interesting.

Live a Live. Easily my favorite anime episode of all time. It's gentle, calm, and exactly what a slice of life should be: NOT BORING. It's the characters we've come to love just going about their day at a school festival, and treated us to some great character development and two anime rock classics, courtesy of Hirano. Nothing has come close to topping this one.

I watched this anime at the time the baka-tsuki site (the only source of light novels at that time) was created.... so about a decade or more....
