I have a question that I really need a answer to, I have a red eared slider and I’m always stressed out about the heating bulb and leaving it on while I’m not home, I have dogs and cats that I worry if something happened and I fire started and I just don’t know what to do I’ve been considering getting rid of him.

Just make sure you have a secure stand and a good quality heat bulb! Lots of people keep it on all day without issue.

Over the basking area is just what is most important for turtles, but over the whole tank is great too!

Hi turtle girl, I’ve followed you ever since I got my first turtle, now I’m the dad of two small musk turtles. I’m getting a baby loggerhead musk which is two month old. Around how high should my water depth be? I have a 30 gallon tank for him

hmm...maybe start low at about 6-8inches (if your filter can handle that) with plenty of decor and slowly start increasing, if you're nervous. For the most part though, if they have decor, you could start them off at the full 10-12 and just make sure they have spots to rest!

Is your turtle tank in the back a regular 40 gallon or a 40 gallon long?

Hoku is doing well! Nemo passed away earlier this year sadly :( The musk turtles, aka six musketeers, are Toph, Fury, Chirrut, Crash, Elon, and Murdock
