I was sitting in this section about four rows behind the dude. What happened was the guy threw his hat up on stage and Axl put it on for a couple minutes and when Axl threw the guys hat back the security guard took it away from him. When the guy went to reach for his hat the security guard punched him in the face and Axl saw it. Next thing you know Axl was diving into our section on the back of the security guard and pulled him to the ground. It was pretty impressive cuz this security guard was about 6 foot 3. BTW I don't know what he was talking about when he said to check on the girl because there was no girl around. There was one behind the guy so maybe she got knocked down and Axl thought she caught it.

Axl was paranoid/worried about the crowd because of the fans that died in Donnington...he knew that people could get very hurt so he watched for it...it was the trauma of playing that show where people died. It seems sometimes that he was a jerk for stopping shows and lecturing but it came from a protective place, I think.

I don't necessarily agree with Axl's methods, the guy is crazy after all. But you can see that his intentions are noble, his heart's in the right place; he's always been massively concerned about the safety of his fans.

I don't care what people say about Axl Rose. I love him. He's not afraid to call out anyone who stands in his way within fear of the reprocussions. That to me is a breath of fresh air. I'm just the same exact he's got a whole crew behind him. I used to think he could care less about the fans. Maybe he had no respect for fans before but,it seems to me that he does it is it fear of a lawsuit?! Who knows,who cares,I love him......as a singer, songwriter and live performer!

Even when Axl does something good like in this video of stopping security from beating up fans people still hate on him. He doesn’t deserve it.

I saw Guns and Roses several times in the 90s. And each time they would go on two and a half to three hours late. A lot of kids had to leave before they even came on or right after the first song. If Axl cared so much about his fans back then he would have gone on on time
