I wonder what she'd make of Sean Plunket's suggestion of simply banning smoking for just Maori?

I don’t understand why people want smoking back for young adults. People who were already smokers were never gonna have their ciggies taken away from them, it was young adults that were not going to have them, it was amazing legislation. Democracy sometimes fails, how frustrating

The reason the Waitangi tribunal hasn't been given any respect is because it's proven that it does not deserve respect due to its wasteful gravy train of tax payer money giveaways. Maybe maori women and men have higher cancer rates due to the excessive smoking, just putting it out there. Bottom line, the health issues are the same whatever the skin colour and everytime money is given for maori issues for maori the maori elite hierachy either are caught with their hand in the cash register or wasting it on entertainment expenses so their people don't receive the treatment.

And the previous government wanted to decrease smoking rates with a world class smoking ban legislation, scrapped by this useless government. Health is more complex than how you assume. With your economic status you have health outcomes that correlate to that due to diet, lifestyle and culture and it’s clear Māori are in worse economic conditions than any other class which we see the result of.
