Thank you for your evaluation of the Wraith 1.9. It means a lot coming from someone with your RC expertise. I love the scale details and have no problem wearing out the stock parts before ANY upgrades. Glad to hear that there is a Spektrum receiver in it too! I recently purchased a DX5 Rugged transmitter to program my growing RC car collection.

I like how Axial looked at all the mods that have been done and transformed that in this Wraith 1.9. Great review as always Josh.

I totally dig the black version! I love competition orange, but the Black is SICK. and WIcked!

I have a 1.9 wraith , And this is way better option with all the improvements of the new chassis , its Timmy tucked , uses scx10 skid , has better geometry And a good battery tray , you can use a standar link..etc , i really like this new trucks And all people that only hate It its because dont know all the cons of a old 1.9 wraith. I think this truck stock (as light as possible) is perfect. Start making it heavier and adding too much power (brushless) and it's going to suffer (bendy plastic,axle stretch, gear slippage). Buy it, drive it, love it.

I kept seeing this video, but the 1.9 just didn't click. I thought you built a 1.9 version.. I thought, wtf is he doing? Really excited about this rig. Easy to see you Love it. I was thinking that maybe Axial, with all the ownership changes, the China debacle and more, had seen its best days.. I still believe.

I'm a huge fan of the Axial Wraith, I have one of the original kits and it have many trailruns behind it, I love the Wraith platform and I've always felt that it where more of a scaler than the SCX10 or similar due to the way it's built with the cage. I've been a bit worried that Axial where going to drop the Wraith since it haven't gotten any updates for so long and it seems like people where forgetting about this awesome little machine so I'm really exited to se this even though I'm not to sure about the looks of it with the body but that's an easy fix ;) It's also very nice to see you, Hemistorm and many others being exited about the new Wraith, giving it a better chance of surviving. However, I where trying to decide between the Redcat Gen8 kit and the TRX-4 kit and now all of a sudden I get another choice, just have to wait for them to release this as a kit as well :)

"favorite, durable, affordable" - While I love your enthusiasm, it's a stretch to say it's durable as you haven't even tried it yet. And it's your favorite already! Affordable but is it a good value with dogbones and plastic links? I think it would be a lot more competitive at $300 since since it's mostly a Deadbolt and the competition offers a lot more now for less money. But I am very encouraged that Axial is releasing newly designed products. It's great for the competition and the category.

I’m familiar with almost every component of this truck already, so I can pretty conservatively say I’m confident in my perception of it. The plastic links are nice quality for being plastic, I’ve ran them at length on my Honcho. The competition does have a $300 truck but saying it offers more is subjective as the quality and durability are questionable.

Not sure why they didn't call it a SCX10 3.has color of wraith,bout it. it looks too much like a dead bolt mixed with vanquish vs4.what next a wroncho?,possibly a axial motor home since everyone converting vintage Tonka?possibly scale leaf spring vehicle?atleast Horizon and Axial are listening too customer/consumer wants and demands.i did purchase the can am and immediately removed the dynamite electronics and made brushless with micro savox and Castle micro mamba setup.

The SCX10 is the chassis, the Wraith is the name of this chassis. This will be a massive success.

Hmm hopefully they make a kit, I wonder if the older wraith interior will fit.

Will the 1.9 inner fenders fit in the old wraith?

Think $330 would of been better price pount (not much valur with dogbones, plastic links and that radio). BUT I love it. It is made to be upgraded/personalized.

Great review! Nice looking rig! So this looks like it will be a C3 class 3? Because it doesn’t have TVP’s... or a start to a new class. I still like it and might get one if they come out in kit version. Thanks Josh! 👍🏼👍🏼

Josh question do You have a part number for that adapter for the battery

How does the ground clearance at the skid plate compare to a SCX10 ii, with the same height tires? I really like the orange paint on the outside of the body with the inside painted silver so, the trail rash will make the truck look more like a custom aged body.

I found it funny that tower hobbies put out an ad for the original 2.2 wraith when this was released ... I asked and apparently there are rumors of an updated 2.2 wraith down the pipeline ... makes sense they would want to move as many of the old 2.2 wraiths before releasing a new version ... keep an eye out

That's a nice looking body, I like the scoops on the hood. Do you think that would fit into the Deadbolt or Deadbolt ll? Or are the body mount pins completely different?

What's under the body??

Never got the original Wraiths. This is much more interesting to me.

I really like the scale details. I don't like the fact they didn't put a metal frame under that sweet body. Which may disqualify it for some scale comps.

Can u use 2.2 wheels with that or do u need to mod it first?

It later on they're going to upgrade the parts turns to vanquish or any market parts but if you will wait to save your pennies..get the parts one by one that has upgrades already so nothings gonna waste ..no meed to buy rtr or a kit get them all upgrades parts 🤜🏻

Well, you know I’m reviewing a car that you can’t even buy yet right? 😁 Of course companies send me parts and trucks, more than I’m able to use really. But I also spend thousands of dollars a month on parts for the channel, so there is a big mix.

Harley Designs, Thank you for youre honest answer. Do you think that the fact that you get a lot of stuff for free influences the outcome of reviews and tests? Please don’t get me wrong! I just like to know if i can trust youre reviews. What happens if you give a bad product a review that is not positive for the brand? Do they listen and take you serious or do they never send anything again and think that there are enough other channels and they can do without you. For instance, did you get the Gmade BOM for free or did you buy it? Again, i am just straight forward and trying to get things clear.

I’ve given many products I got for free a bad review as well and sometimes they don’t like it and stop sending free items. Axial didn’t like me at times as well. I’ve had to buy recent Axial products like the Raw Builders Kit, and so on. Any significant channel is likely to be supported. I’ve been in the rock crawler side of the hobby since it started, I’ve worked in it for years and know it backwards and front. I purchased the BOM, it’s an OK truck. Not great, just OK. I wouldn’t buy another personally.
