Axial SCX10III Early Bronco NOT ANOTHER BRONCO!!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Axial SCX10III Early Bronco is HERE! I didn't think I'd want another Bronco already, but I do! The look of this RTR is absolutely fantastic. The attention to detail is great and definitely should get a few looks out on the trail.

I love the ride height. There is plenty of clearance for taking it out on the trails and flexing the drive train to the max. I love it and the engine. Being a 5.0 modular gives it the perfect restomod persona. This is a cool ass truck.

It seems like the spring collar is not at the highest position possible on the front shocks. Did you try to lower it as much as possible from there? I did that on my JL to make it lower. Maxed the front, and adjusted the rear to be level (if maxed the rear it had saggy butt syndrome with a battery in)

Well after this review, and a few others, I bought one of these as my first 1/10th scale crawler and it is a lot of fun, even in my backyard. I need to get it to some trails or scale courses to have some fun on! I'm building a 1:1 '68 Bronco as well so the body definitely helped sell it. But the straight axles, offset front diff, and wheels helped sell it too! I'm going to have to paint a body up to match my full scale one as well. Keep up the great work Matt!

After seeing this I had to have one of these. My other crawler is a 2021 Bronco TRX4 so this makes a cool compliment to that. I have to say that out of the box this truck was not a good performer. As everyone said, the COG is way too high and with the heavy body this crawled just OK and was pretty unstable when just running around. I made the well-known mod to move the lower shock mount down to the link mount and that helped. Then I swapped the springs with the Axial 13mm x 70 'medium' green springs (AXI233008). This really cleaned up the handling and crawling. Seems like they did not compensate for the heavier body when they spec'd the kit with the straight axles. Finally I upgraded to Proline BFG KM3 Predator tires and kept the cool slot mag stock wheels. They absolutely nailed the body with incredible detail and realism, but they missed on the chassis tuning and tire choice. Now this goes as well as it looks!

Nice kit! Any chance to get proper and realistic unlocked differentials for it?

I ended up with a white one. She is going '68ish "Island style" with some Mods for more fun and a bunch of old scale bits I have in my box 'o bits. I need a tall Barbie for the driver's seat.😅🎉❤ 👍🏻

I love the way this thing looks. Putting the straight axle on it was wise. I love it. But, does really still have the "click" ? if so, why????

I didn’t hear any clicking, but your mileage may vary.

Use an internal Shock Spring and "Droop It" 10-15mm should do the trick.

Totally possible. Straight axles is a good start! Hard bodies can be made to be competitive too!

I put a mattle wrestler in there at axial fest and he fit great, closer to 7 inches. I wonder why they went with the size. Curious how all that comes about. I will get one for sure. I wanted to try a scx10iii I just did not want the jeep with portals.

A 7” driver would be 4 feet tall in real life in this truck. You’ll want to supersize him!

@@scalebuildersguild well he fit pretty good. Neca makes 8 inch john nada from they live that would be a good one. Will have get it and test I guess.

If they do the oj's getaway car model of body (don't know what else to call it) I'd be all over one, not keen on the slab sided look that someone forgot the doors on. Although it's growing on me especially in that colour
