+Owen Davis this truck is basically waterproof from the get-go brush motors are always fine in the water.. The water always takes its toll on bearings and axles. So if you're running through lots of water especially muddy water then your axles need to be pulled apart occasionally be cleaned and greased and bearings checked.

At our local shop it says we can choose between a flat bed from the 4X4 RTR or that bed and we also get a slightly lifted higher suspension system but its softer (Australia)

Are you talking about the honcho RTR it comes with a spare tire inside of the bed and the bed has a roll cage over it. And yes you can use the cab of the Dodge and mounted on the honcho Robar bed. But in your first post you were also talking about a lifted suspension?

I wonder how it would do with 1.55 tires and wheels, I also see it's also got a longer wheelbase than my formally jeep rubicon which is now a older Chevy truck. with that longer wheelbase, would probably work with my new Silverado crewcab body.

+lee vogt the wheelbase on the power wagon is the same as the Jeep Rubicon and the Honcho it is a 12. 3 inch wheelbase. The Dingo,Rubicon G6 and the deadbolt all are running the 12 inch chassis. Also yes I have seen people use the 1.55 rims and the I.7 it does give it a little bit more realistic look.

Can you make it waterproof?

is there any trailer hitches or winches that would work on this truck to make it a true offroader

Yes we carry both we have hitches for the scx10 as well a winch. We also carry different types of metal bumpers both front and rear. Safari racks & accessories as well as lots of off road lighting options. We carry vanquish products so you can have full set of aluminum bead lockers wheels as well as other styles of wheels made by RC4WD . Tires would also be I definitely worthwhile upgrade they are made out of different compounds tread patterns and some are even fully licensed by Super Swamper and Mickey Thompson . As well as metal, titanium and aluminum links chassis serving mounting plates the list goes on. Like in any hobby it depends on how far you wanna go with it.I would however say some of these upgrades that I have mentioned are needed to truly enhance its performance.

awesome truck! what is the top speed with this truck? yes i know they are not built for speed,just curious. and can they run a 3 cell lipo pack?

There's a video of this truck doing 180's, 360's, spitting up little rocks... so it's got enough speed, with a loose surface, to burn out and get sideways. I was instantly sold. I have yet to see ANY other "crawler" video showing how fast they will go. People into filming their crawlers seem only want to do ONE thing: crawl. If anyone knows if any other Axial crawlers can actually move fast and get sideways on loose dirt, let me know. So far, this power wagon is the ONLY one I've seen that can do BOTH: crawl and spinout/drift (on loose ground). BTW, in the video it states the truck is stock, right out of the box.... Hey, is this Kevin Brooks, from Visual Sciences (from a few years ago?)

Yes the new ESCs Axial is putting in their vehicles can handle 3s it will improve the speed a little maybe 17 or 18 miles an hour. The scx10 is more of an off road use vehicle.

Man, Axial should have put a coat of black paint on the inside, truck would look a lot less plastic if the had done it. Maybe someone will make a window mask kit so people can do it themselves.

I would say yes I always Back all my Rc in black it look better in my opinion. All you need to do is get glue painters tape lay it on the inside of the window. hold it up to the light and lightly cut it out around the window with an exacto knife. Also another thing they just released the Dodge body unpainted.

Unpainted would be awesome - Other than the thin paint the model looks great. Great idea with the painters tape too. I was thinking you could mask a piece of cardboard in to block off the entire cab and just do the body too.

Is the motor waterproof just wanting to know

+Owen Davis yes it is not a problem for a brushed motor to be submerged in water. Dirty muddy water can cause a problem.

Can you run that on a 3s? Pls get back.

+Kim Abdula are somewhere around 15 miles an hour. Their main use is for trailing and scaling off road.

+LOFY 255 Yes we have all the plug adapters for all the types of vehicles. The SCX10 comes stock with a Tamiya type plug on the ESC. So we have an adapter to take it to Traxxas or Dean's xcetera whatever you better connector want to run.

Yes it is waterproof all of the new axial scx10 are coming with the new AE-5 ESC which are waterproof and 3s compatible.
