You know I'm usually giving Axial some grief over these constant re-releases but this time I gotta give them some credit. While I'm still disappointed about the lack of a basic beadlock. I do appreciate the fact that they gave us a decent looking RTR at a good price. It's a nice way to step into the scaler class for $300 bucks. I know several people who jumped into crawling with a Ridgecrest or Deadbolt because of the price only to find they couldn't compete in SORCCA events due to the TVP chassis. At least it's a good looking RTR for the right price to get people started. I'll say, well done Axial... for now....

Still loving my XR10.

I think these cars are hilarious. The way they move is just funny to me.

I seen in the comments some comment about axial changing their chassis. I think there frame rails are the best looking possible why change the best rails on the market. C channel just like the real thing. What axial needs to do is give us scx10 lovers a new axle design more like the wraith axle but in the scx10 width. We need a removable pumpkin too. That would be a awesome step and both of my scx10s would get immediatly upgraded. Not new internals but a new housing that is even more realistic definitly with a removable pumpkin.

yusuf johnson Good choice. I have one and it is great. One little thing, move the battery mount to the front of the car to improve the vertical climbing. And maybe consider getting a Li-Po (Lithium Polymer) to increase performance.

Enthusiast HQ if you plan on doing a lot of upgrading to metal, especially a steel bumper, you'll want the battery in the rear to keep it balanced throughout the whole rig. Otherwise you're front end will become too heavy

the only new scx10 i am some what impressed with since they went into the jeep line is the c/r version and that is only because it comes with some sick light bars other then that I'm not really all that impressed as far as the rtrs go. enough rear battery trays ik its easy to do the change ur self but the reason most ppl buy an rtr is for that simple fact its ready to run. they are kinda traxxasing with the same chassis but its a very good one. its one that most scale competitions have put in the rules as a must have style chassis. with the scx10 deadbolt i notice that the esc is now waterproof making that a plus, the driveline now has dual slipper clutch not sure how that wil help but eh what ever i goes ill learn soon. then the new drive shaft set up being 3 pieces looks like a good idea will have to see how it holds up in the real life. now they just need to bring back lights all ready in the jeep rtrs like the honcho

I like this new RTR & reading some the comments. Axial does need to get some different bodies & some different tires. I have so many pairs of Maxxis tires, maybe produce BFG KO's & a Jeep TJ on the shorter wheel base. They barley make different KITs & RTRs with the dingo set up.

Just ordered one for my 6yo so he can tour with me and the Honcho, can't wait to see his face light up! im a weee bit jelly.

I thought the deadbolt was based off the ax10 platform. Is this a new scx10 version or has the deadbolt always based on the scx10 chassis. Anyone's help I need to know.

Im with ya Ethan. We just basically went thru threw this with yet another jeep for Christ sake. Give us something we dont already have. Throw us a 96 Ford Bronco hard body with a full interior. Were all out here building Wronchos, wrexos, 1.9 Wraiths etc... Im not gonna go buy another scx10 RTR or KIT just because of a body that we already have. I will go buy the body if I want it that bad and install it on one of my scx10's that are fully upgraded already. Axial Engineers y'all need to get busy. Ya got a lot of work to do.

Hey axial I have had my scx10 deadbolt for about 4 months and my esc just quit so i went and looked at it an one of the wires that goes to the motor only works if i bend it???????

you gotta solder some new leads for the motor on to the Esc and motor and that should solve it

I like my deadbolt I put the battery tray in the front

I hope axial adds more variety for chassis to chose from instead of just recreating the same rc with different bodies and bumpers

I think the dead bolt body is cool. But I think Axial needs to get other bodies for there models. How about Chevy or dodge. Also maybe Axial could improve the SCX 10 chassis.

There c channel chassis is by far the best looking chassis on the market. No change please. But some new more realistic axle housings with a removable pumpkin I would buy and upgrade all my axles immediatly. Keep the same innternals just a better housing right now the wraith housing is more realistic than the supposed to be more scale to real scx10 housing.

I'm a wraith fan myself I don't like the scx10 but each to his own. But that being said people get bored of the same stuff getting re-made like really how many scx10's are they going to re-make there's lots of stuff they can do like a rock bouncer how many rock bouncers have you seen that aren't made by some guy in his garage. Don't get me wrong I like that you can put some sweet body's on the scx10 but don't re-make a whole truck just make new body's.

well when you think about it, traxxas does that A LOT more with their 1/16 and such. axial is a scale rc truck company so differen't people get a look they want, plus this scx10 has new features. like a tactic servo, the new ae-5 esc, new style shafts.

Axial is turning into Traxxas putting new bodies on top of the same frame its getting gay and I believe that axial should come up with something new like a rock bouncer

Maybe they can go both ways with the rock bouncer make one with scx10 axils and then make one with wraith axils so that the people that like to run the scx10's can get the one with the scx10 axils and then the people that like the wraith can run the one with the wraith axils. Or make an axial mud truck that would be kool aswell there's so many ideas that can be put together to make new products if I lived near the axial building/city/USA I would go and give them all my ideas lol

true its the same chassis, but the esc and servo are different, and the body. Axial has made more editions body wise to appeal to a larger group of people.
