Our daughter is also two years older than her brother but she could alrready meet about one minute after he was born (because it was a home birth). Now they are 15 and almost 13 and sometimes talk teenager talk together I don’t understand. Isabel and Axel Will have fun together when they grow a bit bigger. Enjoy your family

In Sweden the hospital food is only for the mom. You both get a "congratulations"-sandwich when the baby is born though! They have fridge/freezer for us to bring our own food for the rest of the stay.

Yes, the trip home is when she can finally get some rest. Not to mention shower in her OWN shower and use her own facilities. That was what my wife wanted to do. We had cesareans for our two kids. Boy and Girl. Congrats everything seems to have gone well for your wife Bjorn. You are going to have fun with your two kids.. Reading stories to mine was the best. Thanks for sharing this Bjorn.

Maybe most people in Norway cannot afford to take time off work for just sitting there and cannot work. Can't work from "home" if you are a plumber.

The daddy gets 2 weeks of newborn leave fully paid. But if you run your own business its a different story.
