Three men! Ha Ha... I worked for the Mt Vernon water supply, NY. We used to do the same thing with two men and so much pressure you can't take the top chamber off without closing the flapper valve. That's kind of like cheating. I have seen several of these competitions. What, are they doing it under 10 psi? They must live in a town where the water pressure is just a dribble. Or the competition pipe is fed with a crappy garden hose. We had one man comps also. I did a tap, flare and hookup to a curb stop alone in under 2 1/2 minutes. Do that with 100+ psi and pull the top off leaving the flapper open. Good luck with that.
