Thanks for the video, Earlier I thought it was not working but the key just won't appear on restarting the instance, you have to wait for the scheduler to reach its time for updation.

Hi, How we can enable maintenance window for instance scheduler. In my Ssm maintenance window configured some tasks to execute in a schedule time. But before scheduling the task I want all the target instances should be start before one hour. So, how can we achieve this. Please guide me.

Hi, I tried this but it does not work for me. I followed step by step with only changes being office hours as 11 to 1 am and time zone as US/Central. Any ideas on how to get it working? Would really appreciate any help/suggestions

Hi there, I appreciate this video thanks for uploading :) However, I'm encountering some issues. I set up an EC2 instance with an elastic beanstalk (it's where i deploy) and the scheduler works except that it terminates right after stopping the EC2 instance. Then immediately starts a new instance that connects back to the elastic beanstalk. I'm not sure what to do. I've been researching for solutions but it's still the same. :(

For you and the ones that are facing the same issue, you can access the beanstalk -> Configurations -> Capability and set a minimum and a maximum number of EC2 instances working at a schedule through a cron expression. Very simple! Beanstalks will always intialize new EC2 instances once they notice one of the configured ones is off. To work around this, the solution I mentioned works like a charm.
