Hi Andrew, I passed the exam yesterday. Tips: some contents of this video (p1 and p2) are out of date, but they can still be used to build up your knowledge for the exam. I did try several AWS services with follow along, it's quite useful for me. Besides, I bought Udemy practice exams as well, they are quite useful to fill the gaps in your knowledge. I also watched Amazon's free material for this exam (4.5hr long) and did their free test (20 questions). Hope this will help. Good luck guys.

Just passed the exam on 24/04/2022. This training is good but it does not go into deep detail like CloudFormation syntax with hand-on, SAM, CI/CD. I also completed Udemy course from Stephane Maarek (highly recommended). I took exam practice tests from Whizlaps and TutorialDojos and did twice for each test. First time I got 61%-65%, the second time I constantly got 76%-86%. I scored 800 in real exam, and you may get less than 5 questions which are similar to practice tests. My advice is you need to seriously practice so you can remember all the syntax. My real exam focused on the majority of CloudFormation, SAM, CI/CD Code Deploy/Commit, and Encryption.

So just passed the Exam. I prepared for 2 weeks using Andrew Brown videos only. Plus I bought Whizzlabs Practise Tests. The exam was much easier than I had expected. But this may be because I already have SAA. Whizzlabs tests were more difficult. A considerable amount of questions were from IAM role and policies, API gateway, and Lambda. Thanks again Andrew Brwon for these videos.

For all those who are wondering how to spin up the docker container in cloud9, here are the steps 1. Create two files in your project directory. a) Dockerfile b) .dockerignore 2. Copy and paste below cod in your Dockerfile # we'll use 10 since its same as Amazon Linux 1 default node version FROM node:10 # where our app will be located in the image RUN mkdir /app WORKDIR /app # move all source code COPY . . RUN npm install CMD [ "npm", "start" ] EXPOSE 8080 2. Paste this into your .dockerignore file node_modules 3. Execute below command to build your docker image (make sure you are in your project directory) docker build --tag study-sync:1.0 . 4. Now run the docker container docker run --publish 8080:8080 --name ss study-sync:1.0 Note: You can also build and run the docker container with one command.

Thanks for this Sahil. I was stuck on this for days. All the steps worked for me however, I had to use this command to successfully run the docker container: docker run --env PORT=8080 --publish 8080:8080 study-sync:1.0

@@oluchukwuqueeneth349 Yup true, works like a charm with above changes, thanks to both of you, I was wondering if someone is new to docker would definitely face issues while building and running containers. so adding couple commands here If somehow end up executing `docker run` again, make sure to remove existing container or change the name of the container FInd container exists: docker ps -a Remove container: `docker rm CONTAINER_D` - would get that in the above step or Change container name: docker run --env PORT=8080 --publish 8080:8080 --name ${container_name} -it study-sync:1.0 Note: ${container_name} replace your desired name

When played at 1.5x speed every intro to each video becomes a marvellous drum and bass track.
Love this video. I like how every now and then you correct errors and leave it in the content, makes sections more memorable.
it was like looking at myself presenting. You didn't cut out your small goofie mistakes (that we all make), you make "fancy words and definitions" more "Human understanable". You are so great, i wish i could thank you in person. Thank you so much. I learned so much. even if i fail my certificate, i learned so much and i thank you for it
I've been watching his vids, I like that he side steps and drills down where not necessary for the exam but for better understanding.
I had a Network issue during my exam. I was about to finish, I was on 58/65 questions and it kicked me out due to a network error. I called them and they said I would have to retake it. But today I got my exam results and I passed by 758. So I would like to say thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial.

I had given Cloud practitioner exam last month and had studied dedicatedly 5 hrs a day for a week then and passed that exam like a cake walk. I studied this video course for the developer exam and followed it throughout and completed the course in 2 weeks. Bought practice tests online and practiced them for a week, I did only 5 exams. Sturdiest about 5-6 hours a day. Final day of exam went through the cheat sheet links of this video course twice and then gave and passed my exam yesterday. I must say the Developer exam was super-duper tough. I had to think and rethink on the options I was to select. I lost a lot of time on some questions. I could not complete all questions and could answer 63 of the 65 questions in 130 mins. There was not a single direct question from the practice exams that I bought that appeared, but I think what would’ve helped me do correct selection of answers that led me to pass is : The knowledge and conceptual understanding that I had developed when I sincerely completed the follow throughs of this video course and also the part I had studied for Practitioner exam that would’ve built my fundamentals and while going through the practice exams for this exam I went in detail about the explanation of the incorrect options as well alongwith the correct answer. Thanks a lot to this course and freecodecamp for my journey in this certification, but anyone reading this I would like to tell the exam difficulty level I’ll say was very tough and to tell my background, I have 12 years exp in Software Dev, Design and Operations and good fundamental knowledge of Cloud computing but had no AWS knowledge prior to my AWS Practitioner. So all in all this exam is not a cake walk in anybody’s imagination.

Thank you Andrew for this free video course. I passed the Certified Developer Associates exam on 6/12/2023. I watched this video once (going back a lot) and did 2 or 3 Tutorial Dojo tests plus I read/studied a lot of articles on test question topics. I had signed up for the TD-paid CDA tests. Slowly watching your video tutorial while trying to do the steps in your personal AWS account is not easy but very helpful. I work as a developer, but this test focuses on AWS-specific services and not any real coding questions. The test was heavy on deployment/stages of API gateway, Lambda, Code Deploy, and Code pipeline but someone else might have a different test question focus.

Thanks so much for this course! I just passed my AWS Certified Developer - Associate exam, and this course was very instrumental for my success!
Some notes on the DynamoDB lesson ... - DynamoDB scans are not less efficient because they "return everything", they're less efficient because they iterate all partitions. While queries fetch only from the partitions that are known to contain the data we're after. - 5:26:59 - 20/4 equals 5. So 33 reads at 17gb per item would be 5 x 33 = 165 RCUs - 5:28:22 - 24/4 equals 6. 14 reads at 24 KB = 42 RCU - How does keeping the DynamoDB database smaller reduce cost? You don't pay per partition, you pay for RCU & WCU. - Queries over GSI are not across the entire table, the query takes in a PK, so it's scoped to a partition. - Queries on table do not require composite key, simple works too

Hi Andrew, This was amazing. I studied a little on my own and then came across this tutorial a couple weeks before before exam. Once I started, just loved it. Stopped everything else (except practice questions) and focused only on this tutorial. Loved the cheatsheets and love how you touch the most important pieces of any topic. I passed today.

@ashwinalvin4997 Yes is still very valid and relevant. If you have fair AWS knowledge then yes focusing just on this is enough. However, I will say you should do some practice question and answers as well and learn that way,If you are a beginner, I would use this but read each topic in depth as well.
Thanks, Andrew Brown...your course laid the basic foundation for me to develop my skill further. I cleared the exam yesterday. Thanks, Mate!!

Hey, what other resources did you refer to?
I have just passed the Exam. You really contributed to this success. Thank you, Andrew Brown
One of the best free courses available online. Really appreciate the efforts from the presenter to cover as much as possible with the core concepts in focus. I competed my Developer associate exam last week in 1st attempt. This was one of the helpful resources. But if you are really looking to clear the test in 1st you will definitely need to combine this resources with few others. Go through at least one other course, read the whitepapers highlighted in this tutorial at least one, do some hands on yourself in your aws account and most importantly practice mock exams. Overall kudos to the instructor.

Just passed my exam today and I must come here and say thanks to Andrew and his team. I was not knowing that only twice we can reschedule an exam in AWS...The Lazy me want to postpone the exam yesterday but failed to do so and put me in a situation where i need to prepare and take the exam today ( in less than half a day to prepare ) In the last month , i had went through a cloud guru videos , but there was a big gap of 1 month . I went through this video whole night yesterday ( and those who comment that this doesn't contain lambda , please note that there is a second part to this video in the description ). I must admit that this really helped while i already forgot the cloud guru courses. Those who want to pass the exam , Go through this videos , if you have more than a week go along with hands on...if you go through these videos atleast twice you are good. View the sample questions from exam point , see the discussions... This will do... don't think any paid courses are necessary here...its better to watch these videos and applaud for the good work.

Found this video , went through whole 15-16hrs.. Repeated specific portions twice to improve knowledge.. Took the screenshot of all cheatsheets and put in a word document to revise right before the exam. Went through some sample questions which you can find if you just google... This video is highly recommended and i felt this covers more topics compared to a cloud guru and if you don't want to pay for any certification course then this is the best...go through these videos and get the possible hands-on for the services that you can do using your aws account. For me below topic weighed more in the exam.. Cloudformation Lambda API gateway Cognito Dynamo DB S3 encryption related stuffs SQS and then the other topics...

Actually no I didn't use the white papers. I did read a tad for the Cloud Practitioner one lol. They're boring as hell to read. Useful? Yeah of course. It's all the technical documentation lol.
