The no passy passy happened to me in Church. It was so awkward because I'm a guy and the person who wouldn't let me pass was a girl my age! #superembarrassing

The "put on standby" one is hilarious and perfect. It happens every time I go on a walk with my grandpa, because he always talks for half an hour with everyone he knows while I stand awkwardly behind him and remain silent.

You have to be a frickin paranoïd to see it that way... *Originally in response to someone who asked why you would ask someone in which direction they're going cause it could sound intrusive, and who deleted their comment.*

The solution is to grab the person by the arms and turn 180 degrees, thus switching positions.

These guys did not do anything remarkable in their lives, one of them shifted near my place, and now I pretend that I don’t even know him, the look on his face is priceless 🤣

"Put on standby" happens to me ALL THE TIME, and it hurts when I'm talking about something I'm really passionate about to my bestie and then she just cuts me off to greet a random person she's friends with but I don't know. Like, dude, this is exactly why I don't waste my time talking anymore.

@TurboGamer Honestly a lot of things, but back when I wrote this comment it was kpop. Not anymore though, but I still got a thing for kdramas (mostly series about crimes and stuff), and that's something that a ton of people dislike so I'm mainly alone when I obsess over a series cause I can't talk about it with someone so yeh. But, the thing is that, when I do talk about them (and other things too), people just interrupt (maybe it's not on purpose because I make a lot of pauses while I talk so maybe people think I'm done) or just ignore whatever the heck I'm talking about and talk about the things they like. I get it though, I can be annoying and I have a hard time shutting up, but instead of being so rude, I think there are nicer ways to shut someone up or like help them summarize things instead of shutting them up. Idk dude but it makes me feel like sh!t when someone tells me to stfu already, so, to avoid that, I just try to shut myself up so that no one had to deal with me 💀

@@ThatlilrayofSunshine That's why when someone's talking to me, I read them, and if I notice them being passionate about what they're saying, like they're getting animate, shiny eyes and all, if someone interrupts me, I'll completely avoid the interrupter. If it's inevitable, I'll tell the person who was talking to me that I'll be getting back to them, and will do so as soon as I'm finished. Gotta do it, there aren't many people left who's passionate about something.

Make sure to find out the interests of others also though but never be afraid to be chatty. You have a voice and it's as valid as anybody else's on this earth. Anyway never be afraid to talk about you interests and passions

I once approached a friend who was sitting in the cafeteria eating fries. I came up from behind so I couldn't see his face. I then took one of his fries from behind in a way to "surprise" him. Another time cleaning the men's room, I'm finishing up and a guy just walks in, then notices me, and asks if he can use the urinal. NO, get out. The bathroom's closed. It was early in the morning, so I don't think he was fully awake, but I put the cart in front of the door for a reason.

i've taken the habit of just ignoring people/pretending i don't see/hear/notice them unless they loudly repeat my name, look specifically at me or, you know, start frantically waving a hand in front of my face to get my attention to avoid the first two scenarios. it works :) i also always walk either very far to the right or very far to the left once i see another person even remotely coming my way to avoid the "no passy passy". also works :)

I also make sure the person coming my way has more than enough room to walk past me so they can also be not too close to me. But I still don't know what facial expression to use all of a sudden whenever I walk up to or pass by someone, so I'm either looking really awkward or I make sure to stare straight ahead and keep a ghostly stare.

oh is it the guilt? couldn't figure out what/who was awkward in the last clip. it's annoying, uncomfortable and inconvenient maybe but thought if anything it'd be awkward for the person asking for things. it might be a function of how passionate the person is, hard to care if they don't seem to believe in their own message

As an introvert, these are EXACTLY the reasons i dont go out and talk to anyone

The "goodbye" or "have a nice day" only to proceed to walk with each other for a good minute in awkward silence is too real

Daniel, you should have done the one at the movie theater when they say, "Enjoy the movie" You go "You too" thinking they say have a good day lol I've done that before more than once lol

There's also the common slight awkwardness when an employer farewells me the customer with 'have a good day/weekend' and I reply 'you too' but think they've probably got a long shift ahead of them, or they're working all weekend. But when I'm in an employee role I do like hearing it back.

the last one was too funny n ive experienced this.. where its a really random cause and they berate you trying to guilt you..im still laughing i swear i replay it again n again. the way he said it too.

I always hated calling out to a friend far off and waving like crazy just to find out on a closer look, they were someone I didn't even know. Fun.

The "No Compriendo" happens to me constantly at work. I work at a Truck Gate for a big company, so we get a lot of truckers that need to come in, so we process them. All the time they talk to me while their loud-ass truck is running and I can only make out maybe 50% of what they say. Has led to some awkward moments lol.

That's what happens at work during phone or video calls. It's not my ears being bad (although I was deaf as a kid), I just can't consistently identify words in spoken sentences. Back when I had to do the phone central at work. I literally understood nothing, asking 20 times for the name etc., not knowing what they actually want and with whom they wanted to talk. Worst decision ever to let me do it, picked a job without talking for a reason lol

0:27 actually happened to me at work once, but the bright side is that I wasn't the one using the toilet. Still didn't make it less mortifying, though. It's single-toilet family restroom for me now, otherwise avoid public restrooms altogether.

Slightly similar to the saying "bye" and then realising you're both walking the same direction is what I like to call the Supermarket multi-isle meet-up. You bump into the person you know and have a lengthy chat then end in a kinda "Well I better keep going here, was nice seeing you, cheerio"...then you bump into the person again in nearly every supermarket isle after that and do that half- laughing "oh hello again" or friendly nod.

There's nothing like deciding to be more self-assured and charismatic, somebody throwing a compliment and you confidently owning it, only to realise (with a room full of other people) that it wasn't directed at you.

"The no passy passy" is so relatable. It's happened to me so many times that when someone's blocking the way, I just turn 90 degrees and walk around them on the other side of the road.

The "bye bye, actually not" is sooo bad 😂😂 I just go in the opposite direction for a while until we have enough distance between us and then I start walking home
