Mk3 Jetta, hold trip reset button in before start car, after start , push button until you get to either 7 or 8, RPMs will display in mileage window.

I have a very similar interior set up as you. They make a chrome ring for the center section of the Personal wheel, or a chrome horn button, that along with some chrome screws would tie that all together real nice. Had the chrome arms, but it was just over the top for the chrome, was a little too much.

You didnt have to remove the clear plastic cover, you just put them in threw the back, and click them in. Should have thrown leds in the cluster and flipped the clock and odometer film, while you had it apart. I went with blue and black light leds in the cluster, and all blue led switches, hvac, ect. Makes a world of difference!!!

Honestly I had those chrome rings on my GTI but I didn't like em bc at nite I could read my cluster easily because if the reflection

no need to pop off the glass, the ( plastic ) chrome rings does come through the holes if you tilt em´

I replaced my old black cluater in my 97 golf 1.8 L for white gauges in cluster from a mk3 2.0L 4 door. I hooked the cluster up, it lights up, but none on the needles work, and it's showing the other car's kilometers. Is there any way to make this cluster work so the needles work ? I can't see how fast going and how much gas and temperature.

My ABA revs up higher than usual in the the cold. Sometimes it doesn’t start up smooth also.

RPM signal is from ECU not from old distributor type ignition where number of cylinders depends

Ján Petróci airbag light is because he has an aftermarket steering wheel, and the CEL is probably because of his secondary air pump
