​@@TomleyRC i had to order one, arrived today.. Black edition. Couldn't get over how big it looks compared to all the vids and pics of it I've seen. Just shows how things are different in the flesh as you say. Looks brilliant!

The quarry is the perfect Mad Max type area for running that. Looks nice.

Yeah I like that one. Seems like a decent all-rounder for the price point. Loved the wheelies over the gravel! Have a great weekend!!!

Well, Mr Tomley, I have to say it didn't appeal to me much initially, but, after watching halfway through your filming, I absolutely love the way it handles, especially over that quarry terrain in a sort of fast waterbed with wheels! It's comical the way it bumps around and clever too, one I shall purchase. Thank you again for a terrific and enthusiastic review.

Love it . Great job on the video

In Germany you can buy this as a Reely Rat Max. The funny shape of that battery tray is to fit shorty lipo packs. I myself got the Reely Stagger, which is a shorter desert buggy version of this. The only things i have to complain are the phillips screws and the very small receiver box.

That thing is freaking awesome and it is like you said very reminiscent of a Short Course Truck

It looks like it was made for the surface in the quarry. You had a lot of fun and that's what r/c is all about. Thanks for the overview and test. I enjoyed it.

I had the presale one back in April… took a while for the retail one to arrive in the shops

It looks pretty good! Perhaps it could be made into a wicked on-road. Like a budget, mini Arrma Felony.

It's a sweet looking car and not bad price really for what you get. Certainly wouldn't mind getting one but spent too much on vintage Tamiya lately 🤣 . For me personally, it's crying out to be matt/satin black with some weathering. Cool vid Phil 😎 . Wonder what it would be like on that beach you go too ?

Insane, living in Australia mad max is a legendary series of movies that everyone in the world knows about these movies. Have to get one because of the above mentioned. Great video review, such a great bloke who is always excited about new rc products with a fantastic outlook on all things rc

Little known fact, Rockatanski was Mad Max's character surname... So I wonder where they took the Rokatan name from...! 👀😶‍🌫️🤭 Love the car. Seems to be like the brushless Zorro, but this looks really cool and fun! We do need a satin black one, yeah!! 🙌🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻

After watching another great video from you I purchased the Rokatan and have had months of fun, swapped out the servo for one with more grunt and upgraded the shocks but apart from that it’s a hell of a good car Keep up the good work mate

This chassis is also what REELY NEW1 aaand REELY Stagger are running on, and for quite some time, so parts available from Conrad. Also this car is the same as REELY RAT MAX 1/10 XL

Its also the same as the FS Racing Victory X. The chassis is though, but a nightmare to work on and the diffs are really, really weak unfortunatly

@@michaelcliffe562 probably no weaker than the other FTX bashing cars excluding the DR8 and they hold up ok as long as you don't put too much power through them

That's Awesome, looks almost exactly like a 70's Aussie Built Ford Landau Coupe which shares the same chassis and body styling of the Mad MAX Ford Falcon GT Interceptor coupes 👍

@@TomleyRC Helion doesn't exist anymore, it was Gill Losi Jnr's company and he went back to Horizon a few years ago which is why you are seeing stuff like the Associated MT10 etc...

It appears to be the Helion Dominus SC10 Pro chassis. I had one. Very stiff chassis, unfortunately the front arms tended to snap under normal operation, and the stock metal axles would bend easily with stock power. Otherwise truck handles well.

I just saw a Helion Invictus 10MT on ebay. The underside was exactly the same. It looks like that chassis been around for a few years.

I love the Mad Max movies, but I wasn't that keen on the sand colour.Now there is a black version, Im very tempted. Great video 👍

I’ve just got a second hand one that been hardly used but it’s only rear wheel drive plus it randomly goes into reverse on it own . Any ideas ? Thanks

Dude! I’ve been waiting for this review for evAR from you! I haven’t watched it yet but this car has me excited, mainly for the body because Proline I think made one a while back and it’s discontinued and I so bad want to do a Mad Max version. 😎

Reminds me of the old proline desert eagle body I had it on my slash two wheel drive it was pretty cool and then I had one on my arrma senton 6s but I destroyed the one on the senton. So hopefully they'll sell this as a clear body and I can get another one cool truck though and awesome video

Does look a good car maybe not a full basher but an extreme rally car maybe, FTX are really upping the game lately, i am liking my Texan and at a recent meet up a Geo kicked the butt of an Absima sherpa

Geo is great, Sherpa is heavy like a TRX-4 but fantastic quality for a non branded vehicle, probably the best I have seen from a non brand vehicle

If there are no cars/trucks running in the quarry anymore, then it'd be beneficial to you to rake an area of off those tracks, that make the car stumble the most(on a wet day i guess tho, since clay hardens a lot) . Some things we need to ourselves. I'm clearing local patch of woodland of off fallen trees and overgrown aisles, so I have a place for short mtb rides and I also hope people will come back there when they notice its cleared. I need stompers to keep it in check 😊

Looks a lot like a maverick or AE MT10. Very similar. Looks like a nice unit!

Just saw this on Sharky's channel and heard him thank you for it so had to come over and check it out. Great vid and cool vehicle. That bolt on motor looks pretty lame IMO...I'd pull it if I had it. And probably give it a flat black paint job. Anyway, good stuff! Sadly no love for us over here in the US...

this thing is a beast fast and still handle so so well ill be definitely getting one of these i think there only available in the UK at the moment but not bad just over $520 landed here in Australia something different and a fun looking and good handling basher ill be painting mine in a flat black after masking up the grill lights and windows get that real mad max look - yeah i know us Aussies hahaha
