This is how most lawnmower races were back in the 1970s. Make a track in an empty area at the county fair, mark off a course, and hose down the track. (Unless it rains.) These dry oval tracks you see so much of today is not lawnmower racing in my opinion.

Mason B5 usually you can upgrade them, by changing gearing ratios, and taking off the blade, etc.

TheDarkToes they don't change the gear ratio they just get a smaller pulley on the transaxle. And weld the spider gears.

John Sears a gear ratio is a ratio between any two gears... This would indeed be changing the gear ratio. Sorry to tell you mate, but you're wrong. Normally they have a gear ratio of 1:8 but they lower it to 1:2 or 1:1 For speed.

They need tire chains.
