This video highlights an incredible up-close dolphin birth in Hawaii. A baby dolphin was born at Dolphin Quest Hawaii on September 3, 2019 at approximately 6:43pm. Experienced dolphin mother, Kona, gave birth to her dolphin calf in Dolphin Quest Hawaii’s large, ocean fed lagoon located at the Hilton Waikoloa Village on Hawaii’s Big Island Dolphin Quest’s expert animal care team were present during the birth.
The first 30 days of a newborn dolphin's life are the most critical. While Kona is a successful and experienced mother, Dolphin Quest marine mammal specialists will continue round-the-clock watch over the pair.
Dolphin Quest was founded by two marine mammal veterinarians who ensure that the dolphin’s welfare always comes first. By providing excellent maternal nutrition, prenatal and neonatal care, Dolphin Quest Hawaii is recognized for its successful dolphin reproduction.
