    Nice to have a teacher with you to fine tune you to your machine - as it were. Loved the arrowhead, & the dagger guard was very cool. You have so much detectable history, right beneath your feet. Thanks for the vid.

    Great interesting video Alex. Cath is a nice down to earth lady with a wealth of knowledge. Maybe it's my smutty mind but I picked up on a few non intentional 'double entendres'. My wife was walking past me and she stopped in her tracks when she heard '9 or 10 inches'. There were a few more which I won't go into, mostly because I suspect it's just my particular sense of humour.😆 Really liked the dagger guard, makes sense really. Swords had hand guards and I suppose a dagger is s small sword, of sorts.😁All the best. I appreciate all your hard work. Can't be easy.

    That was neat to see you getting a second opinion on targets, you know sometimes I have dug really good items and then asked myself why did I dig that signal ? but not really been able to answer it, can only think sometimes it is sort of subconscious 🤔

    Another great video. I've been using Deus 2 for 2 years it's an unbelievable machine once you get the hang of it. If your on V1.1 it doesn't require a minus discrimination as the iron volume is the ground reader below your discrimination so get the iron volume upto 10 and disc to zero and offset to 10 in SFT it's amazing. Good luck 🍀

    A good no holds barred or edited portrayal of the deus 2 Alexander! It's a marmite machine, I've used xp machines since they came out and I'm sorry but that signal tone and clarity on the d2 is appalling 😱 ( I just realized what machine the d2 's audio was sounding 😊like!! A makro racer!) I honestly feel the d1 is the better machine, what you talked about at the end digging the low buzz is exactly what I've done for years with the deus 1 and the results as you say when it's a stunning artifact retrieved is amazing! I still would like to see a d2 v d1 video! I'd shadow you every signal you got just to finally prove if the D2 goes deeper than the d1 because they way I see it the only thing a d2 offers over a d1 is depth😉... As ever great vid though...👌👌

I cannot get my head around why it still makes a signal even if you have iron colume off. If I had dug every what seemed like good signal my back would of been putty in the wet clay soil. Anyway on plus not found my first cut half ever and we saw tasci backside 😂😂. Love the dagger thingy. Speak soon.

    Really enjoy your videos👍 Thought I'd finally leave a comment. I've been detecting over 30 years with great success. My best tip is don't call it, just dig it. Not sure how someone with a metal detector achieves an expert designation 🤔 Is an expert someone who has used a metal director for a certain period of time? Seems like these days, someone is an expert after 30 hours in the field. Is it the number of finds that make one an expert? Or, is it when someone makes calls on their signals and gets it right , 1 out of 5 calls.🤔 I'm no expert, I consider myself lucky. Again, great videos, nice presentations!

    Yet another excellent video Alex. I have a question. I use a wireless microphone linked to my phone for my videos. I see you use a separate voice recorder when making yours. I would like to ask how easy is it to sync the audio to the video when processing, is there a trick to it?

  • @HolzHammerSagas

    @HolzHammerSagas

    5 ай бұрын

    No its quite easy you just line up the track from the box with the sound track from the camera... it only gets tricky if its so windy or there is so much background noise you cant see the audio properly from the video track - you will soon get the hang of it - good luck!

    Hi Alexander. I suppose bigger bits of copper alloy were more easily found and reused as presumably quite valuable scrap whereas small bits just got lost... until metal detectors came along

    The only advice I can give Dave is you have to watch your own videos from a viewers viewpoint - what do you think of them then? Would you keep all the footage in or edit a bit out..? I've juts watched a bit of Wealden Hall! You have to be subjective - good luck!

    @@HolzHammerSagas I think v2.0 runs the extreme hunter 2 box coils and the goldfield program is more sensitive to small gold? I’m still on 1.10 but probably best to be on the latest software as xp as a habit of doing tweaks with updates.. good luck😊👍

    @@HolzHammerSagas it was an update for the fancy new deep hoard detector XTREM HUNTER, but it did make some tweaks to the Deep programme. Worth doing if you use that programme - but you don’t. There are a few minor niggles with it, especially with the Mi6 linked pinpointer volume (too low).
