This design of 3 cylinder was one of best of era with huge frugality and used right up to 1988!! And arguably David brown's best engine!

@@llordjacksonbuzzthedog.4845 I had one of these in bad repair!! It was nearly sunk into ground where i found it!! Front tombstone missing which has serial number printed on right hand side!! For this reason I sold it and have regretted since!! Seeing yours in its current condition is amazing!

I was a miller on a chicken farm when I was 16 and and would take the chicken feed from the mill and fill the bins using a 880 your looks a lot better than mine did permanently covered in dust 😄

tidy old thing, had to get my 880 a new battery last week, little bugger will start first turn , but last cold snap was a pushing it too far - its as quick as the 1594 on the road - wee 3 pots are indestructible , when u get to the 780 , its got no liners in but from experience , if it starts within 3 turns, clean sump out, do the injectors , flush the radiator n it'll need bugger all else lol

Thanks Paul, it's been a long slog but its all been worth it ....yes I'll be starting the 780 soon and it will probably get the same treatment.

Got a 880 3 cylinder implematic myself lovely restoration i cannot find a yellow exhaust anywhere for mine.

Hi Llord Jackson, That look really good, the paint job is amazing, seams ashame to take it out on a wet day I need your help for one of my viewers from the states, do you have a swatch of DB poppy red paint that I could sent him in the states so he can get it scanned and mixed out there, he's got colour codes but is having real difficulty get a match. I've tried my paint suppliers and they are unable to help. fingers crossed Barry

Hi Barry 👋 yes it's all tooked up in the tractor 🚜 shed . Sorry I don't have any swatches for paint .I just ordered it from barkly Williams, it's a agri colour paint .David Brown hunting pink and the make is Sparex .they have a Web site www.sparex.com . I'm not sure if barkly Williams would ship some to the USA for your customer 🤔 might be worth a phone call .there's a code number on the tin UFI 1k9p-Y29N-9002-M5CR. This might be a rall code number?? Or it might be worth looking on thier website. Hope this helps ,thanks for watching 👀 and keep up the great work 👍.
