Awesome Arizona Trail - New River Canyon
The trail that should have been a badge of honor trail instead of Table Mesa Road, New River Canyon is right across the highway and features great views and some moderate obstacles. While it is a bit of a drive back from where you finish, this is a great trail to hit if you are in the area.

I've driven this trail many times. The difficulty changes a lot depending on the damage from the last rains, how much water (if any) is in New River, and the last time any maintenance was done on it. BTW cholla is pronounced "choya". They are beautiful cactus, but you don't want to touch them, they are nasty.
You should do Lake Pleasant Road north to Crown King. There's a lot more to it than this trail. Lived in this area for almost 30 years. Great video!
That big rock would have been a good spot to snap a end link or ball joint?
Was there a few weeks ago I watched that river fill up no one was crossing that lol

New River is nice but I really prefer Old River.
Awesome trip! What’s your current suspension setup and tire size? Handled the rocks very well. Why does no one appear to use the decent assist? I used it a few times on the 2020 JLUR I had and it was great.

Metalcloak 3.5” lift with JKS Dual Rate Springs on 38” tires. I don’t like decent assist because I don’t know exactly what it is doing and I have more control in manual mode.
Did you get a close look at the 4Runner? Was he stock or could you tell?
