I love my Gantry Pro Jeep. I was out the other day running it in the snow with the paddle tires and it was a blast!! It made great rooster tails of snow when you are hitting the throttle! I put the clips on the shocks to stiffen them up a bit and they seem to work well for me. I am trying to decide if hydraulic shocks on these small cars are just too stiff for the weight of the car and instead of compressing the shock they just flip over in a turn or bounce over rough terrain because the model is too light to compress the hydraulic shocks. I notice with the compression spring shocks compared to hydraulic shocks you can see the wheels going up and down and the body stays flat with the terrain instead of bouncing over it. What do you guys think? I like it so much that I bought a back up pro model and a white brushed model just because I wanted the white shell and the rest will be used for parts.

This jeep absolutely screams!! So fast. Seems like an amazing deal for $100!

Interestingly, US Amazon has one advertised with oil shocks but at $130. Getting from makerfire and add oil shocks would be a better deal for now

Rip out the esc/receiver combo, slip a 45a 3s capable esc, your personal choice of receiver, and it will really come to life.. and so far, 10hours approx 30+ 3s running and it’s all still working. Obviously this will void any warranty, so do so at your own risk. But it’ll make an excellent puddle jumper….

I hope i can get some help here. Just got one this week, turned it on, servo turned the wheels only slightly, rear wheels spun, then everything stopped. After about 20 minutes, plugged everything in steering doesn't work. Rear wheels ran for 30 seconds, dead again. Tried everything. Am i doing something wrong? Also the light on my controller isn't blinking.

I have a PowerHobby 3S 1500mah 45C that fits perfectly in mine....I really need a wheelie bar now! Holy crap! I got the one with metal steering knuckles and have the paddle tires on the way.😁😁😁

hello perth what is the difference with the 16101 pro that is also brushless, is it possible that it only changes the body and wheels? Is it a good car for jumping? thanks perth.

Yeah i think the only difference is the body shell and wheels, and yes it jumps pretty good, go watch my sand dune bash video i made shortly after this review if you like where i try the paddle tyres, this little Jeep is insanely fun! 😆 Thanks for watching

Thanks for watching, if you want to wash the car, I would suggest not to rinse it in salt water at the beach bit fresh tap water at home. Salt water will make it rust

Hey check it out- it'll cross a pond!! But we do NOT recommend you do it, because it would take 3s, and it's only a 2s machine. - 🙈🙈 that plus friction dampers on a pro model = Epic Failure. However, the VIDEO IS GREAT AS ALWAYS‼️👍👍🦾🦾

What i was impressed with in the two makerfire videos, (I have them linked in the description) is that the esc and all the electronics seem to be 100% waterproof after when the truck is submerged under the water. Thanks for watching bro 👍

Yeah think thats the going price for brushed, but the brushed model does not have metal parts in the drive train gearing or axles.. its all plastic.

It's probably an esc issue as well, these are calibrated and bound from the factory and have a 2 in 1 board so I'd say they'd be impossible to calibrate anyway. Maybe buy a new standard esc receiver for it, most likely the don't cost much or buy a proper independent esc and run it on a different transmitter and receiver, like a Dumbo RC

if only it had oil shocks it would be much better

No still friction shocks, i show it on the bench and mention it during the drive test. i used the C clip tension rings that came with the accessory bag to help stiffen em up a little

EXACTLY. There are so many options now that we don't have to deal with changing out the shocks. The bouncy friction shocks need to be gone, unless it is only for a young child/ toddler. All they needed is some WL like oil shocks, they'd triple the sales quickly. Oh well, have fun!

looks pretty rubbish off road to me, i'd be turning it into a street basher, looked way more fun on the road, it could barely drive in the leaves lol, but it has no suspension though so that might help i'll have to get one and mess with it, it's not rubbish totally, a lot of people shoot these cheap trucks down all the time, but they 100% have a place in the market, i think it gets people interested, mom goes online to buy a rc truck, and sees the prices on them and shits her pants, but this one is 100$ 31 miles an hour is plenty fun for bashing, more just makes it impossible to drive and you break more stuff when you hit something at 50 miles an hour (plus batteries cost in the hundreds of dollars so it's just silly to me)

Go watch my 2nd video on this in the sand dunes with paddle tyres, i installed oil filled shocks from a 144001. It's a fun basher off road with more than enough power

So tiny but good for kids getting into the hobby I guess
