Good stuff! Really appreciate the patience you guys put into getting this install on video. Also, liked the fact that you took it for a long enough drive for me to gauge the cabin drone noise.. the only reason holding me back into upgrading my type r's exhaust. I've had a vw corrado back in the day with an aftermarket exhaust i put in and after a while it gave me headaches as a daily driver. All in all, thank you for sharing your experience.

Thanks! The wait is definitely going to be worth it. Luckily, I only waited 2 days to get mine. But the track converter kit is gonna take 3 months 💀

Awesome stuff bro. I myself have a Borla S-Type Catback on order for my ‘18 Hatch Sport and eagerly waiting for it to ship. I already have a PRL Street DP installed and just got my PRL FP in the mail today but not installing it until I have the exhaust.

Getting car parts is hard these days. Such a long wait for everything unfortunately. But yeah man, once you get rid of the stock noises, you’ll be 100% happy and will never want to go back to stock 💪

Definitely worth it. Get it installed ASAP. You’re going to love it! 😀

I suggest using white lithium grease on the hangars which will make removing them 1000 times easier. I also recommend putting the jack under the engine / transmission to support it when the rear motor mount is removed. It'll also help when putting the rear motor mount back in. Great install though and exhaust sounds awesome!

You got a lot of extra cabin noise after swapping exhausts?

Are the outer tips actually connected to the muffler? I noticed you mentioned they weren’t fake but the center tip piece didn’t show holes allowing the air to be dispersed to the outer tips and “exhaust” only came out of the center tip when revving.

They’re all connected to one center pipe which connects to the muffler.

Have the same setup. Any reason why you went with the chrome tips instead of black? Just know that the middle exhaust tip will get dirty and not the others

Saw a awe video it’s seems the exhaust only come out of middle tip or 90% of it. check it out on yours and let me know. Where did you get your awe exhaust and $$? You did a great very detailed video. Awesome job

Thanks man. The middle exhaust is where most of the stuff comes out of. And that’s why it gets dirty after just one drive while the side tips are clean. I purchased the exhaust at import image racing and got it in 2 days! 😀

I ordered mine from import image racing. Also the AWE factory is in PA so I think that’s also why I got mine early (maybe) 🤷‍♂️

I actually like the stock exhaust after disabling the ASC. You can really hear the turbo from the exhaust under full throttle.

I got a muffler delete I like how it sounds 🥲
