Away From it All in Suffolk
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
We’re in Ipswich for a couple of weeks staying at Monika’s flat, and it feels great to be so close to open roads!
We rode out of Ipswich and away from the main roads, to a beautifully quiet, tucked away part of Suffolk.
Winding country lanes, not a car in sight, total silence and a location that’s stopped in time.
It’s a beautiful area for relaxing motorcycle rides on quiet roads, and just 20 minutes from Ipswich!
I hope you enjoy it!:)

As long as I´m around, I hope so. Really miss riding the English country roads, especially on Summer nights when its light till around 10 pm and not much traffic. Hopefully I´ll be doing just that again next year. The Summer this year has been a write off so at least that´s some compensation for being away :-)
Thanks again for making me remind myself to take a step back sometimes and enjoy the day to day living.
Dude, I've had a brand new Royal Enfield with 150 miles on the clock sitting in the shed for a year and a half. Some weird KZread algorithm threw your Vlogs into my life and I'm getting my biker mojo back. Thanks for reconnecting me to an old passion.

It’s brilliant how you make no apologies for going for the cool helmet.
Another masterpiece of laidback chill!
So good. Monika is so talented, great music/editing and shots. I’d have a look at a litelok if I was you. 👍😎
Of all your videos this is the one I enjoy the most, so far. Keep up with the excellent work!
You two do such chilled and well polished content and it has such a different feel to other bike related youtubers that I watch.keep up the great work guys ,really enjoyable.

I just love the way you feel about your motorcycle ❤️ 😍
Beautiful! I love the smell of fields on a rainy day. Also love to ride away from crowded areas.
Brilliant content mate Loved what you said about biking and freedom 🍻
I believe Henry Cole once commented that the best bike to ride is the one you are on, very true as it doesn’t matter as long as you have a smile on. Ipswich council have absolutely ruined the town, the centre is like an old ghetto don’t bother to visit as there are many more towns that show the best of Suffolk. The road from Ipswich to The Hospital school super ride, but then any B roads in Suffolk are a joy to ride. Great video by Monika, you two are the dream team, nice to see her back on the pillion.

I felt that was one of your best videos Andy, I feel sad but also I've learnt a true story reminding me how precious life really is, so thank you for doing it bud.
Wonderful clip. Thanks again for showing us the UK; looking forward to more. Great point on the happiness any bike can give you. Doesn't have to be the $30,000, 200 hp Italian, or equally expensive 1,000 pound American. You are amazingly young to realize that; took me more years t figure that out.

It’s good how you never mind admitting your learning Freddy … great stuff you two
Hi , yet again so laid back and out for the day enjoying the trip , taking us along . Freddie in his gear and one smile or wave from Monika , were like lemmings , do not get to close to any cliffs , as were all going over ,as in Quadrophenia , expecting her smile when the ground looms up . Magic presentation and video work , thank you . Should any one like laid back rides , have a look at Saddle bags 73 on the tube and between both as Richard said , there will always be an England , just make time for it , even when the sun does not shine as long as you enjoy your bike .
Cracking video and I like your modelling photos on the Blackbird motorcycle clothing website 👍🏼🇳🇿
Always enjoy your uploads! Only discovered your channel a few weeks ago and its already my fave Motorcycle channel. I like the way you include some much of the motorcycling lifestyle, (not just endless onboard footage of the road ahead). So much fantastic scenery/destinations in the UK! Enjoying watching from Australia. (P.S Also a huge fan of the old British phone box!)

I'm south east London too. Oxford Monster Lock x 2 attaching the bike to a ground anchor and bike covered by a black cover. I'm sure it is possible to steal the bike but it'd mean openly angle grinding the lock and anchor for probably half an hour on full display and under cctv. So far, so good!
Thanks for taking us along on the trip.
Travelled those roads many a time by car, motorcycle and pushbike. Husband and two sons went to the Royal Hospital School so great to see it again. Video content is great, love its relaxed feel. So jealous of your bike too!

I attended the "Royal Hospital School", joining in 1966 - Omg, it was so spooky to hear the chimes from the clock tower once again. Love all of your posts Freddie and your test of the RE 350 Meteor helped convince me to buy one. Great commentary and excellent camera work from Monica as usual. Be well and keep up the good work.

Stumbled upon your channel and I have to say I really enjoy your vids. you are doing a great job and deserve more success. Please keep it up and thank you.
Bloody lovely mate.
Hello Freddy, In the early 1980's I owned and rode Meriden built Triumph's, a TR7RV 'Tiger' 750, a T140E 'Bonneville' 750, a T160V 'Trident' with Norman Hyde 850 big bore kit and a TSX 750. But the machine that I owned which gave me the most thrilling rides was a 1980 Laverda 1200 'Mirage', it was a beast to ride, very tall and top heavy, it had heavy clutch and throttle action which regularly snapped cables. It only gave 27 to 30 mpg, but I forgave it for it's negative points because of it's acceleration, wild handling and the 180 degree cranks bellow from the straight through 'Jota' pipes gave me such a thrill, it was orgasmic.

Hi David, That's a fine selection of bikes! I've never seen a Laverda 1200 in my life- it sounds brilliant and extremely scary!🤣🤣
@davidmacgregor5193
2 жыл бұрын
@@FreddieDobbs Hello again Freddie, thank you for your reply. Laverda were a small family owned concern in the Italian Dolomite mountains, their main line of business was manufacturing combine harvesters, their motorcycle production was essentially a side line. The farming equipment division was run by Piero Laverda and the motorcycle division was run by his brother Massimo. In the mid 1970's Laverda's UK importers Slater Brothers Ltd took a stock 981cc Laverda 3C model, they added high lift cams, high compression pistons and an unrestricted exhaust system, the end result was the legendary Laverda 1000 'Jota', a rip snorting beast of a bike capable producing 90 hp @ 7500 rpm with a top speed of 146 mph in standard trim. The 'Jota' was the fastest production motorcycle that you could buy in 1976. The 1200 version had softer profile cams and was sold as Laverda's touring model, it was marketed in the USA as the 'Jota America'. Laverda's were never built in huge numbers and their new price was always high to reflect their exclusivity. Today Laverda Jota's are fetching between £15k and £20k.

I've been meaning to comment for awhile now but usually watch via AppleTV app so no ability to like or comment. You're one of the best motorcycle content providers on youtube. Your videos are always well edited and entertaining and I love seeing Ole' Blighty. Especially loved the Isle of Wight series. I'm from just round the corner from you, Sidcup, but moved Stateside in 2000 and now living in Austin Texas. My ride is a 2019 Korosi Red Street Twin with some mods here and there. Keep up the great content mate, you're even making my wife love bikes with the videos! Oh and so much respect to Monica for the great cinematography!

Awesome video and awesome content can’t wait for the next video Thanks Freddie and Monica
cool wee video, you and Monica are a great team.
Thank you, I did enjoy the video. Best deterrent for bike theft is to hang draw and quarter a thief in your locality. Or after the locks a small black padlock on the drive chain locks the bike when they are trying to push it away and they cant work out why., word of caution remember to lake it off before using the bike!

Wow.....where does one begin, from the beautiful intro to all the rides and stops, absolutely stunning video and thanks for the info on the clothing & accessories, great choice. I'll be watching this again and keeping it for those cold winter nights longing for spring.
how times have changed on bike prices :) loving your videos. Currently working backwards through your vlogs. 🙂
Videos like this make me genuinely miss the England I grew up in. You are making me want a Triumph as well, that is for sure. I love my Royal Enfield Himalayan but there is something undeniably cooler about those Triumphs...!
Your Bonneville is looking great in the English countryside. I'll be off to the canals at Aylesford on my scooter when the sun comes out. Like you said, enjoyable on any bike.
I'm really into your laidback style of vlogging, which I enjoy watching on Sunday mornings, as it gives me a chillout start to the day. I have realised that although it's you, your bike, clothes reviews, the bike trips etc., the real star of the show is Monica. Without her you would only be half as good, so here is a Big shoutout to Monika and a hearty Thanks for making the show that keeps me coming back for more. "Behind every great man, is a great women" Also good to have someone doing the East and Southeast of UK for a change... my old hunting grounds before I went abroad, many moons ago. Thanks to you both and stay safe, greets from 🇨🇭, Steve.

Brilliant! So glad I came across this video..I'm currently on holiday in wales doing exactly the same with the wife and my Honda cb1100rs....I've been looking at a 2nd bike. triumph Bonneville SE, or Newchurch ..and this came up 👍 Excellent video
That was different and very enjoyable. I really like your Triumph. Never really been a Triumph man, but the appearance of it from the front with its round headlight makes it look a proper bike. Your Fiat 500 is cool, too. My much older half sister used to have one of the originals. It actually had a 500 cc engine. A twin. The only car I've driven that was actually slower than my Citroen 2CV6.

One of my favorite episodes of yours. The scenery is beautiful as always but the bike is so special. I think you featured shots of your bike in this video more than any other that I can remember. Thank you as your bike is so wonderful to look at.
Cycling in south east London is fine. I live in east Dulwich and it’s lovely around here. I’m a biker myself, though the Ducati 797 got written off in June (van pulled out in front of me-didn’t see me) and still waiting for the insurance and personal injury claim to come through. Hopefully not too long now and I can get a new bike. Been watching your videos the last couple of days and really enjoying them! Good luck in Tenerife 😊.
I'm not far from there, I would say drop in for a cuppa but I'm away this long weekend hehe. Have fun you guys!
Cool, very cool.
Security....I have a big chain like yours. I used to use a good padlock on front disc but forget if its there too often. Best security is live in the country. I do but we do get raided by roaming thieves from time to time who take advantage of the quiet laybackbregion. Security cams are cheap . My bikes are kept in a locked garage with frame lock. With big dog who sleeps outside. I used to roam the lanes of Shropshire and Wales, for work and as a kid sometimes on my sisters pushbike. Its when i fell in love with out in the air two wheeled transport. Timeless for sure.
