It's 4:00 a.m. and I cannot sleep. Clicked on a one-year-old video of yours, interesting to see how your presentation and editing has greatly improved. 👍🏻 But your and Brian's sense of humour remains the same! Funny to see that you're still enamored with Béis at this point over away.. and now you've been able to look into more options!

I filmed with a GoPro and a Canon PowerShot, barely editing and we didn't even have location tags back in the day! (Don't bother looking I took down my channel years ago 🤷‍♀️)

I have the original and I love the concept but being 5’3” it was just too big for long wear in the airport. It went from the top of my neck to the bottom of my waist. My husband is 6’ and he was able to manage it better. I do LOVE this bag it’s my go to for roadtrips. I have their packing cubes too which I love. I also have the junior version for international flights which we love too.

Do you find that the handle feels cheap/is loose? When I fully extend my handle it feels very frail/cheap/light metal (maybe intentionally to reduce the weight), but it also rattles and is loose. Like I am very suprised for a ~$400 luggage how cheap the handle feels. Not sure if I got a defective handle or if yours is like this too(

I definitely haven’t experienced that with this bag, however after it getting severely scratched after only two trips, I stopped using it anyway! I’m so sorry that happened to you. Any chance that you have a comparison review between the Away flex and the Bies?Specifically on which ones holds more items and durability rating.

Months later, I can assure you that Beis is way better. I’m not a fan of the away bag anymore, it is very scratched after a few uses, and I don’t believe this bag is even available anymore. The Beis bag is fabulous!

I am so disappointed that they discontinued this product! It really was the perfect combination of their hard-shell and soft-shell luggage and was EXACTLY what I was after. Unfortunately though it was all sold out and discontinued before I was able to get any of Christmas

Yes, I’m bummed about that too, but after several trips with it, I don’t love it anymore to be honest. It has not held up that well and is very very scratched. I much prefer my Beis carryon instead.

Here’s the link, but it looks like it’s unavailable right now. None of the other ones expand, which is why I liked this one. I highly suggest a “Beis” carryon. I see give the dimensions of the large awaychecked luggage it does not meet air canada guidelines by an inch or two. Is this an issue ?

I’m not familiar with checked luggage, because I only carry on, but it’s usually weight based? To be honest, this bag was horrible after traveling with it once and I don’t recommend it anymore.

If you check aways website they have a chart with all the airlines that the bigger carry on works for :)

How about the chargeable phone battery. Does it have one?

This does not have one, I wasn’t given an option for this particular suitcase. I do always travel with a portable battery though. Most airlines make you take it out if you are checking your bag! Not worth it in my opinion!

The bigger flex does not have the option for the battery unfortunately.

Away started selling this luggage again with a massive price increase. The sale price is more than the original price from a year ago :/

Oh I know. I tried to write to them and ask why! They took it down for a few months and then it came back so expensive. I also have an update video of how horribly it’s held up :-/

@@ItsTheKellys I received mine now. They sent me a used case :( They first one they shipped me was the wrong luggage and my original item I ordered had sold out and discontinued that weekend. They should at least further discount it if they're sending used returned product.

I’m not sure! Someone asked me that the other day. I hope they didn’t stop making it, because it’s great! Although the Beis carryon to me is still way better.
