Award-Winning Footage Of The Microsopic World Around Us

Ғылым және технология

This year’s Nikon Small World Motion Photomicrography Competition has given us a fascinating glimpse into the realm of the extremely tiny. Watch a flea giving birth and a zebrafish embryo developing its complex nervous system. And that’s just the start.

Yes your brain and intelligence are simply there to help the rest of the cells, and the species. The brain is cool, but it doesn't understand DNA, and it was the DNA that made the brain. So yes, the thing you call 'you' is just some weird function provided by some cells that the other cells feed, in hopes of a good return.

What even more pathetic is that you're not alone. The world is just full of people laughing at themselves!

There's no proof of a God doing anything only people giving their opinions, feelings and ideas on the matter. That's as real as God is ever going to get, People can make their belief a rich tapestry by investing tonnes of value and emotion, meaning and experience about a God but that doesn't increase its accuracy of being correct. I believe it makes it more beautiful, but beauty =/= true;correct. If God is a fact and it has the power to prove itself absolutely, and it cares about us at all it should do it.

Isn't is great to be alive in the 21st century, where our technology allows us to peek into the microscopic world, and see the tiny living beings that have always existed all around us. This is not something our ancestors ever got a chance to observe or witness. We are lucky to be alive and seeing this great footage, and i am sad that in we will also miss out even more mysteries, that the human race will uncover in the future. But this is what we get as of today, and it is still mesmerizing and amazing.

That time will be a major milestone but I can't imagine we be humans without bugs, they help us think like we do today, they help us have emotions and everything. We evolved with them and they evolved in us like a system equation. You remove one bug and it's like a card castle crumbling. Indeed, the intricacies of our world, from the minutest details to the grandeur of galaxies, showcase the vastness of our universe and the depth of its design. Despite our advancements, our understanding remains limited in comparison to the sheer complexity that surrounds us. In our pursuit of knowledge, we often encounter humbling realizations about the extent of our understanding. The profundity of natural phenomena and the sophistication of systems, both large and small, serve as constant reminders of the limitations of human perception and comprehension. In the face of such complexity, it is imperative that we approach our endeavors with humility and reverence for the mysteries that persist beyond our grasp. Rather than assuming mastery over the universe, we are called upon to acknowledge our place within it and to pursue knowledge with a sense of wonder and awe. May this awareness inspire in us a greater sense of humility and a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of all things. In our pursuit of understanding, may we seek not dominance, but harmony with the intricate tapestry of existence. May god have mercy on us all.. Allahuakhbar..

Many years ago, PBS aired a program titled "Things Unseen", which had a lot of electron microphotography. It even showed the organisms (nematodes?) which reside in the follicles of our eyebrows, which reportedly continue munching away for some time after we die. For some utterly inexplicable reason, or reasons, I have never seen it again, though I know PBS does program reruns.I would love to see, or even own a DVD copy of that fascinating program.

I must have seen the same programme years and years ago because it freaked me out that there are nano creatures in my eyebrows and I always think of them whenever I get an itch in an eyebrow!

@@PhillySortsFan46 not all interpretations of God are the Christian God. It’s very feasible that God exists but simply does not find us significant. In the same way we shed skin cells but don’t weep their death, perhaps we are still so insignificant to grand scheme of existence that God doesn’t care. Or maybe he does. It’s impossible to know.
