It's a very big kid. I saw it in 9° Stormo base in Grazzanise (Caserta - Italy) where are based pratically all the HH101 of Aeronautica Militare and watching them fly 5-6 m above your head is really really impressive!

It is ultra expensive machinę due to 3 engines and has more emergency landings than you can imagine.

That thing is a masterpiece in rotorcraft builds. Impressive rotors and spin, very nice and powerful sound and very slick gliding and maneuverability. I think it is one of the most powerful helicopters in production today with three turboshafts making up the power plant. To the best of my knowledge, the only other helicopters with three engines are the Sikorsky Super Stallion and King Stallion.

@Xarifa Zee Take it easy. My comment wasn’t about maintenance or technical details since I wouldn’t know about that given that I am not an engineer of any sort. I just think it’s a pretty impressive helicopter and am a bit astounded that it has three engines.
