So disappointed that like none of the Under My Skin songs leaked. That’s my shit

People, there must be two songs named Contagious, the one we know and the one here (there are also two songs named Take Me Away, for example, the unreleased one and the one in Under My Skin). Also, songs like Get Over It, Falling Down and I Don't Give aren't here because they're probably not unreleased songs but b-sides. It's a little hard to distinguish unreleased songs from b-sides (there are some songs here I thought were b-sides), but the admin took the time to investigate and make this video! (: So thank you for that!!

Avril’s Contagious on The Best Damn Thing caused a feud between her and Chantal K who co-wrote most of Under My Skin with her. Chantal also had a song called Contagious that I don’t think she released, she then publicly called Avril out when she noticed a song called Contagious on The Best Damn Thing before listening to the song and later realising both songs were completely different. (She later apologised). I think the video is referring to Chantal’s Contagious but this wasn’t actually written for Avril.

FOR EVERYONE ASKING "WHERE IS...", "WHY IS CONTAGIOUS HERE": -"Why" was a b-side (another song) released on the Complicated single and was also released as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of Let Go -"I Don't Give" was released as a b-side on the Complicated single and was released as a bonus track on some deluxe edition of Let Go -"Get Over It" was released as a b-side on the Sk8er Boi single -"Falling Down" was never released on any Avril album or single but it was officialy released on the Sweet Home Alabama movie soundtrack so I didn't know if I should count it or not -"I Always Get What I Want" was released on the deluxe version of Under My Skin -"Take It" was released as a b-side on the My Happy Ending single -"Alone" was released as a b-side on the Girlfriend single and on the deluxe version of The Best Damn Thing album -"I Will Be" was released on the deluxe version of The Best Damn Thing album -"CONTAGIOUS" mentioned in the video IS NOT the same Contagious we know from TBDT! After the release of TBDT Chantal wanted to sue Avril when she saw the song "Contagious" on the album tracklist and there wasn't her name in the credits because when Avril was working on the album Chantal had sent her the song with the same title. She later apologized and said she heard the Contagious from the album and it's a COMPLETELY different song than the one she sent to Avril. The Contagious we know was written by Avril and Evan. -The demo sung by Lauren Christy of "Lucky Ones" actually did leak, here I gotta admit I had no clue about that! And I don't think many fans do so thanks for letting me know!

I have been reading a lot of old Avril articles and interviews: the album was originally going to be called Anything But Ordinary because the label was pushing for it. I think they wanted her to be more pop than anything and hated the rock vibes she was going for in Losing Grip, because at the time they knew it wouldn't sell as much as the pop hits. Avril didn't want the album to be ABO because she felt it was too pop and putting the wrong label on her, so she asked about it being called Let Go instead. As for why it wasn't on the album, I'm guessing she felt it wasn't strong enough. I also have seen videos of old 2002 performances and I've lost track of how many stupid hosts say "off her new album Let's Go" LMAO

Just after that Evan left the band and started making his own music. Do you maybe know why things went like that? It looks like they argued or something.
