@@splash5427 Dude she left from 2014 to 2019 due to her being sick and almost dead by the Lyme disease that affected her to the point of not being able to get out of bed... She needed that time and even during her Head Above Water small tour she was still recovering, working daily to get better, more active, but that disease will never leave her 100%, so it's such a wonderful thing she is now doing even better than in 2019, you can see her more healthier, happier, even more fit which in this case it does matter that she is in such a healthy space mentally and phisically. Anyway Idk if you knew this but yeah that disease took her out of the game for half a decade.

Almost since 2002 she has been underrated in the music industry. Her Head Above Water album didn't even get nominated for any awards. The songs didn't either on the album either. Too underrated and she's beyond her years in music. She's so musically talented. And so gorgeous

The thing is this may be the first a talk show has allowed a musical guest to perform live in the studio as prerecorded performance on talk shows have been the rule since last year. Who knows maybe Ellen made an exception for Avril this time and will go back to having musical guests do prerecorded performances. Which goes to show none of those people have watched a talk show since 2020 or in 2021 and so for this reason they didn't know any better that talk shows don't allow musical guest to perform live anymore in the studio and thus insist on prerecorded performances instead.

Haven't heard a song this good in 10 years...

After the illness she had, you can see that it changed her voice and breath a little, but she is still iconic AND A GOOD SINGER. bigger than a lot of hot artists out there, OUR POP PUNK PRINCESS

Yeah, her voice sounds different after Lyme disease, but I love the way it sounds. Actually, I wish we could hear Avril's real voice on her records, since we always end up missing some of her lower register and lower frequencies in general because of how producers mix it.

Great to hear someone with such a great voice, belting it out with no auto-tune. Travis Barker is still one of the best drummers in the world, and the bass and guitar players make up what is a really tight band. Loved it!

Malaysia fans.. we growth our teenage time with avril songs..yes..she brought us back to 18..feel like we all teenagers again..

Well, I’m in my late 40’s now and I find Avril inspirational, I love seeing her doing what she does best, angry, angst and rockin’. Her first album was when I was in my 20’s. She is A legit rock legend comparable to any other at anytime.

What Ray means is that the other performances we heard were pre-recorded (one obvious clue with the other performances was the backing singers in the chorus, despite the fact that nobody in the background was singing) and there was definite studio treatment. This one was almost completely live with slight effects on the microphone. All performances are great!
